Fun topic.

Unfortunately for us, I think the pels would ask for Draymond and Klay - or that level of talent. They know we can't afford 4 stars long term, and KD/Curry are off the table. But if we were willing to part with both of them, it is likely within the realm of possibility.

Here's my hypothetical.
http://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/6772019

GSW Out: Klay & Dray
GSW In: Noel (S&T),Covington & AD
Covington is probably being greedy, but whatever. Those 3 with Curry and KD is terrifying.

Philly Out: Okafor, Noel (S&T), Covington
Philly In: Klay

May seem like a steep price for Klay, but if you consider Noel gone this summer no matter what (which I believe), Covington+Okafor for Klay is pretty solid. Embiid, Simmons, & Klay would be great together.

NOLA Out: AD
NOLA In: Draymond & Okafor

Don't know if this is enough, Draymond+Okafor is essentially two parts of what AD is. But keeps them young, and relocates the talent across their roster. I know Gentry was one of Dray's biggest supporters back in the day, and Okafor's game is complimentary to Draymond.

We wont be trading for AD, but this would be my hypothetical if we really ever did make a run.

U play Davis at Center and he wont play more than 60 games a year... too fragile

The move to make would KAT... send Davis to Minny

I think a line up with:
Curry, McCaw or other, Durant, Green, Anthony Davis
beats 7 our of 10 times.
Curry, Klay, Durant, Green, ZaZa

Fantasy land here....IF the Pelicans and Warriors were able to construct a deal for Klay and Anthony Davis....would you as the GM pull the trigger. Do you think the first starting 5 are vastly better than our current with Klay?

I love Klay, but i'd fly over and personally drive him to NO

If it's the original deal of just Klay for Davis, then Ant's workload would be significantly lessened from what he is currently doing. He'd get tonnes of 4th quarters off and with Draybeast next to him, he wouldn't have to do as much heavy lifting anyway, cause Green is a monster.

Curry/Liv
Clarke/McCaw
Durant/Iggy
Draymond/West/Looney
Davis/Zaza/Javale

Pretty good.

Not saying its not, but his track record shows injuries

KAT doesnt and line up is as nice, plus he is cheaper get EC with it and make sure u have enough room to sign liv and dre

Neither is practical and all, but if we going fantasy land, go fantasy land and make monies work too

I know this is just the hypothetical trade thread, but if I'm Bob Myers, I'm not breaking up the big 4 for anything (too much chemistry risk), until they retire ala the Spurs parker ginobili TD. imo big 4 should be warriors4life. side question: Do the rules allow Dubs to trade for Bogut? :D Imagine a zaza, bogut, mcgee 3 headed monster in the playoffs, n would allow Bogut to not play heavy minutes. Could mix n match depending on matchups.

The Warriors can't add Bogut to the roster this year per league rules.

Chicago gets : Andre Iguodala, Brandon Jennings, Marshall Plumlee, 2017 second round draft pick from Chicago
[Chicago-New York, 6/22/2016] they get it back

New York gets: Rajon Rondo, JM Mcadoo, Paul Zipser

GS gets: Nikola Mirotic, Lance Thomas, Kyle O' Quinn ,Isiah Cannan

Chicago not a grade deal but Rindo isnt wanted , and not sure what they are thinking about Mirotic, They get agood defendfer in Iguodala, and good playoff performers with expiring contract. Jennings is combo guard with expiring, lots of scoring and penetrating, much like Corey Maggette nickname. they Plumlee and second round

New York gets a talent player and backup plan for Rose or vice versed, Paul Zipser was the get here

GS, get some more depth and another scorer in Mirotic, can Thomas matriculate into Iguodala role. Is kyle Oquinn an upgrade at center? Isiah Cannan is cheap they three point shooter to replace the role of Barbosa, not buying into Ian Clark just yet.

lets talk about the assests that GS getting
Lance Thomas: Combo forward who contributes primarily at defensive end/ Unexpectedly emerged as a 40 percent 3-point shooter last season

Kyle O'Quinn Skilled backup center whose high-post game fits well in triangle, Has range to about 20 feet on jumpers and is a good passer for center, Fine shot blocker and rebounder who tends to be prone to fouls

Nikola Mirotic:
+ Sharpshooter in Europe beginning to find 3-point range in the NBA,Displayed a less versatile offensive game in 2015-16
Unfairly maligned team defender; struggles one-on-one

Isiah Cannan: Pretty versatile, as long as he's shooting a 3; gets hot from downtown, Struggled mightily inside the arc, had to play too big an offensive role in Philly, Limited length and tools defensively

All these guys sound like GS players to me Lakerhater, mIrotic is expiring. and to get 3 players for almost 10.5 million is unheard of woth this CBA, and get this type return for expiring contract in Jguodala is hugh get. plus all these players are super young but not in there 30's either

We don't need to do this.

I do like Caanan however, and would like to explore ways of adding him to our team somehow.

here part 2 to my deal

Golden State gets: Fred Van Vleet, Davis Bertans, Nerlens Noel

Philly gets: Danny Green, Kevon Looney, Kyle Anderson

San Antonio gets: Segio Rodriguez, Jared Sullinger, Norm Powell

Toronto gets: Robert Covington, Damien Jones, Patrick McCaw

GS gets a defensive center who can run the floor, they get two low level prospects who do fit in

Philly gets there 3 and d player and two young role players in the making

San anotnio improves there depth here, I am high on Powell

Toronto gets doesn't address there pf but they can go small ball with Lowry Derozan, Covington, Carroll and Jones V

net result of two deal

PG S curry, S Livingston, Van Vleet
SG Thompson, Clark, Canaan
SF Durant, Thomas, Bertans
PF Green,Mirotic, West
C Pachulia, Noel, O'quinn, McGee

and someone would have to be waived may be Van Vleet and send him to dleague

He's a nice young player, but so is McCaw. Noel will get signed elsewhere, so essentially this deal is McCaw, Looney and Jones for Bertans, after this season.

The guys we have will be needed next season.

To your point, i would do that for Nurkic - as he's signed cheaply for next season.

What do you think of trying to get Anthony Morrow back?

Can you believe he's 31 now? :o

Return to Golden State Warriors
