It is not about luck, it was purely lack of plan put us into this disaster. Organic growth my ass. A few meaning less wins and firing JV during the process of a needed hard tank is why we miss out on Embiid and Porzingis. Because of missing on these prospect, we traded Dipo for a 1 year rental and paid gigantic trunk of money to BB.

Half-a** tanking. 2013-14 min per game leaders: Afflalo 35 mpg, Nelson 32 mpg, Glen Davis 30 mpg. When you tank, you keep your vets on 25-28 mpg, you do not play them 35 freaking mins. That one- two wins more ended up being difference between beast like Embiid is and player who still isn't anything special- Gordon.

After 4 and half year "organic growth", it is time to cut this bull and have something with a plan!

A hard tank is desperately needed more than EVER! We have been locked on FAT contracts like Fournier and Bismack who are disasteriously flawed on one side of the court. Our core assets which we have collected in the ass paining organic growth, AG, Elfrid and Vuc are all about signing their next fat contract in 1 or 2 years.

I dare anyone would want to argue about if tanking is the right way to build a team. The lame excuse of building winning mind had already cost us on Embiid and Porzingis. Our "win minded" young player has traded for possibly a 1 year rental and cap space for Bismack.

We need a top 3 pick and need to use it smartly this year. We can not waste another year and repeat this disaster over and over.

Magic need a plan. The plan has to start with firing the clown!

Clown is Hennigan? Man main problem with this organisation is actually Alex Martins and onwership . They never wanted to tank and they are happy because team is getting them money, they don't even compete for playoffs let alone championship, but arena was filled 3 times in last month ( for whatever reason). And he promised championship by 2030. What a joke. We know for fact that they undecut Rob with decision about Skiles and how he used his connections to get himself hired in first place, probably had heavy influence in Harris trade for his 2 former players that backfired.

Same reason why Magic never went all in to tank. They kept guys like Nelson, Davis, Afflalo on 30 mpg and they hurted their tanking.

It is even more painful looking at your tanking pals end up with Giannis, Jabari, Embiid, KAT and we are magically miss out on everyone of them.
Magic fans deserve something better.

Hennigan need to take responsbility on this mess. Ownership is always on spending spree when we need them. Henny shall be the man with a plan. With the way Henny is building this team, we would be CAPPED with mediocrity.

Henny has no plan to develop draftees at all. Dipo and Gordon is definetly confused with their role on the court. Young players certainly feel insecure and might consider themselves end up like Dipo, Harris or other 1 year rentals.

I feel utterly disgust at his organic growth.

Going 2-7 over the last 9, this team's tank got real once we brought Vuc back into the starting lineup. (10-13 before that, with him off the bench)

At least he can lead us to the promised land one way or another!

So happy to see this thread. When I would bring up the tank many times people would get mad. I'm happy collectively we are aboard the tank. We can't get over confident. There's alot of basketball left and the tank race is close. We MUST keep losing

We are gonna make a panic trafe before the deadline arrives. We wont get playoffs but we will get enough wins no to win a loterry pick.

Mediocre as always.

Over the last couple of years, I would wake up to great individual box scores from Tobias, Vuc, Harkless(on occasion), EP, etc and close losses and I would say "No More Moral Victories"...now, that's exactly what I want to see. Hezonja goes for 25 but Magic come up short. EP's triple Double isn't quite enough, etc....These 30 point wire to wire blowouts are sickening and hopeless. BTW, Magic tix are outrageously expensive and Orlando is not NYC.

We are sliding incredibly fast and only 1 game out of 4th. Insane how quick this season went from hopeful to depressing.

We need to keep losing. Judging from the terrible body language and the players quiting this shouldn't be hard.

I am on the bandwagon to go all-in for the draft this year, but going really deep into it,drafting every veteran before deadline for pics, and arriving in june with 4-5 first round pics;then, make the guys play with gordon and peyton and hezonja and a pair of veterans next year(one of them could be biyombo).
And doing that modern nba style,no more smash mouth basletball and that kind of things please.

That said,we can dream about next draft and tanking, but do not think our organization would be ok and i think we gonna push again this year and next summer to playoff race,no matter what.
anyway hope i am wrong,sigh :(

I just want to make it clear that I'm not a supporter of teams tanking. In fact, during our last tank I hated every second of it because there were only 2-3 guys MAX on each draft (a some drafts had none) who I could see turning a franchise around. The only reason I'm supporting it now is because I see 4-6 guys that can do this, meaning if you end up with the 2nd worst record, you're guaranteed no worse than the 5th pick. That means you'll end up with one of:

Jackson
Fultz
Smith Jr
Ball
Isaac
Monk
Fox

Now I'm not saying that all of these will pan out to be Stars, but they have the potential to be and since Hennigan **** us to no end, and the playoffs nowhere near attainable, I say do this thing right, get a scorer, and build around him.

Side note: we will have at least one second round pick. I'd love to see us nab Jamel Artis from Pitt. He's a senior and will be 24 when the NBA season starts in October, but the dude is an absolute beast. His game reminds me of Hardens as well as his build. Another guy I'd keep an eye on, and he may not even get drafted because is 5'9" and a scorer (stupid), is Marcus Keene from Central Michigan. He leads D-1 in scoring at 29 ppg and I could see him having an Isaiah Thomas type career if given the chance.
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

The last couple of weeks could not have gone any better. I still have faith that Dallas will pass Orlando. Let's secure that 4th worst record! It's sad that it has come to this but I hope Rob and co realize that this team needs a compete makeover.

Josh Jackson looked good last night, I think I'd still put him a notch above Isaac and Tatum.

trade Serge before the deadline.

Hand the team over to Elf and AG

Win 10 more games, evenly spaced out so we don't go more then 5 losses in a row.

Force LA out of the top 3

2017 goals
let paid professionals do their job, don't you try and do it for them...

I'm sure you're half kidding but we have also been without Evan for the last 7 games and without Meeks for the last 4 games. So sliding Vuc to the starting lineup isn't the only key change to the rotation over that span.
