I dunno.

Oh and you just got inducted or abducted to the poetry thread,

DC has kind of a sliding scale when weighing your drug offenses. And your drugs.

"We don't do crack. Crack is whack."

Whitney lied. "Crack is cheap ... let's get this thing straight. I don't smoke crack" (Her lie being that by virtue of her making "too much money" she didn't do crack. The interview with Diane Sawyer is beyond tragic and sad--Her daughter was interviewed).
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

This article downplays the possibility of Sanders being signed by the Wizards, but also provides justification for a logical move. Sign Sanders and waive Thornton(who hasn't produced or played much).

If the Wiz are going to pretend like Mahinmi has a chance to come back this season then I'd much rather they cut/trade Thornton to bring in an upgrade at the guard position.

I think what they've got at shooting guard is about as good as it's going to get. McClellan has great athleticism and a knack for getting off his own shot, even if he's only a mediocre outside shooter. He already knows the system and, as a prospect, is probably as good as anybody else in the D-League. Thornton is a veteran journeyman who is a replacement-caliber 13th man on a lot of teams. Again, he's about as good as you can expect if you're scanning the waiver wire for a stopgap veteran on a minimum salary contract.

Yeah, upgrade was too strong a word. I want them to cut Thornton and roll the dice on a retread NBAer or D-leaguer, preferably at the guard position. Maybe we get in on the Rondo sweepstakes after the Bulls cut him or maybe some other malcontent hits the market.

He worked out for the Celtics a few days back. Reports were that he wasn't very impressive.

It's hard to believe a guy that has been out of the league this long can get himself into playing shape over halfway through the season.

There might be enough desperation on both sides to make it work if there is any chance of him producing much this season.
