so, even if we suck, wer still going.
i dont like it, it really makes each regions qualifying tournaments, less important.

*

theres an article that states, from Bruce Arena........Zusi will play Right Full Back in the up coming camp.

probably because Jurgen said, anyone can play FB

*

BA has all ready failed in even looking for FBs.
had his chance to call in a bunch and get a look, but has decided to go with Zusi and DeMarcus Beasley.

LOL I'm so sick of these exotic formations. Why can't we just play Yedlin/Fabian at fullback and call it a day?

i like exotic formations,
but if the majority of the players dont know their roles,
you cant use them.
same, if you cant teach/coach the players what to do in the exotic formation.

"BA has all ready failed in even looking for FBs."
this 1000%

we dont even have good backups for both sides.

id take an average LFB,
so we can move Fabian up.

pulisic - wood - fabian
thats my preference for the top line.

moving Fabian up there, lets us keep zardes, bedoya, zusi on the bench.
if any of them get back to quality form, then depending on opponent, i dont mind if they start.
but 1 of them, not 2 or 3 of them at the same time.
as late game subs, i think all 3 are great. high energy, high effort. normally in good position.

with the current roster
bump Bedoya to the bench
and 1 of Jones or Bradley
start Morris and Lleget
more possession more attacking

.....morris.....altidore
nagbe...kljestan...lleget
............br/j
villa - marsh - birn - zusi or whoever
............keeper

Nagbe, Kljestan, Lleget were all very good in the game.

Zusi, was very good moving forward, which is obvious since hes not a FB.
wasnt tested enough defensively.
except, he did get back on crosses and back door passes to stop them.

everyone else, average or nothing to report.

Moving forward we need to play the following formation.

-------------Wood-----Jozy----------------
Nagbe-----------Bedoya------------Pulisic
------------------Bradley-------------------
FabJo--------------------------------Yedlin
-----------Brooks-------Cam---------------
------------------Hamid--------------------
Spread Em and Dead em.
-Sad DLO is gone
-Allen will become LobCity DJ
-Kyrie will be top 3 for MVP if we get to 50+ wins, he will average 27ppg, 7apg, shooting 50-40-90

why Bedoya as our Attacking Mid ?
theres no way hes better in that role over Kljestan or Benny.
Lleget is also better than Bedoya.

i dont mind Dax as our DM.
he played with Kljestan on the Red Bulls, so i think that combination would work fine also.

i truly wish we could move Fabian further up the pitch.

id also be ok with starting Morris or Agudelo over Altidore.
at least they will run more and cover more ground.

i expect the team to continue forward like what we have seen in these 2 friendlies.
slow and boring soccer.
standard, stay in your zone, and safe.
Arenas only goal is to qualify for the WC.
no reason to do anything crazy, or new, or play young guys.

kind of sucks.
but this is the situation we are in

list of players in contention for the call up.
hard to know what BA is going to do.

Goalkeeper: i prefer 1 of the 3 GKs to be a young guy
1. Brad Guzan
2. Nick Rimando
3. Tim Howard

Right Back: Yedlin most likely will not have played a game before the usa match. idk other RFB options
4. DeAndre Yedlin / Eric Lichaj
5. Graham Zusi

Center-Back: could remove 1 or 2 from this group
6. John Brooks
7. Steve Birnbaum
8. Geoff Cameron
9. Matt Besler
10. Walker Zimmerman
11. Matt Hedges

Left Back: who else other than Garza? hes slow, but solid.
12. Jorge Villafaña
13. Greg Garza

Central Midfield:
14. Michael Bradley
15. Dax McCarty
16. Sacha Kljestan
17. Sebastian Lletget
18. Benny Feilhaber

Outside Midfield: id be ok with bumping Bedoya out
19. Christian Pulisic
20. Darlington Nagbe
21. Alejandro Bedoya
22. Fabian Johnson

Forward: Agudelo is not 100%, maybe Dempsey is done.
23. Bobby Wood
24. Jozy Altidore
25. Jordan Morris
26. Clint Dempsey
27. Juan Agudelo

Others :
Miazga, Hyndman, Acosta, Arriola, Corona, Green, Marshall,
Morales, Orozco, Pontius, Ream, Williams, Boyd, Kitchen

nobody cares about team USA anymore.

the roster, injuries, replacements, 6-0 win, more injuries, 1 replacement, and another game tomorrow,

and nobody is posting.

*

defenders John Brooks and Michael Orozco,
midfielder Sebastian Lletget and
forward Jordan Morris
have been released from camp.

added midfielder Paul Arriola

Jones is now available after serving a suspension for card accumulation.

*
i expect to see a 4-2-3-1 formation
Jones on the right between Pulisic and Zusi.
allowing CP to go attack and to give cover to Zusi.
nagbe and pulisic filling more into the center of the pitch instead of just wide.
Zimmerman in for Brooks
everyone else their normal role

..............altidore
................dempsey
.......nagbe...............pulisic
.........................jones
............bradley
villafana - zimm - omar - zusi

a TIE in this match, puts us right on schedule with points needed.
a WIN, would be fantastic.

*

I, would still go with some different players and formation,
but BA likes standard formations and roles
id go something like this,
we would still have Dempsey, Bradley, Jones, Bedoya as subs if we need to make changes

...........altidore
pulisic.................arriola
......nagbe -- kljestan
...........acosta
vill - zimm - omar - zusi

Draw @ Panama isn't bad, but it's not a great result either.

Jones looked old, usually he's busting his ass around the pitch but I really didn't see any of that. Nagbe and Bradley were 'meh' for me, you can sort of say that about them in both games actually. It's not a stretch to call Pulisic the best player in the pool. Gonzalez and Ream were inconsistent, Villafana was the most impressive out of anyone in the back in the 2 games. Sucks about Lletget, I think he was starting to show that he could be a viable player (starting or off the bench) through the rest of qualifying, now it looks like he'll be out for all of it.

after scoring a nice goal,
to give up such a crap goal really sucks.
a Tie is a decent result.
all away matches in concacaf are difficult.
just need to win the Home games and get a few Ties away

Jones + Bradley doesnt work.
why are the coaches afraid to go with someone else, i just dont understand it.

Nagbe to me is awesome.
he does such subtle work out there.
he possess the ball in tight spaces and almost never turns it over.
he doesnt have much flash, but is ver technical.
always in good position.

Omar and Ream are and were bad.
they cant pass out of the back.
they are afraid to make decisions.
in the 1st half, Bradley was dropping Even with them to receive the ball to start the progression.
wish Zimmerman was put in there instead of Ream.

the 2 best players were Pulisic and Villafana.
after them, Nagbe was ok.
everyone else barely average or bad.
Altidore, is a target forward. i think they said he had 15 touches all game.
thats horrible.

a Win and a Tie.
thats not bad.
still wish we would have won that crap game in Panama

Well, Jones is a central midfielder in his mid 30's and he looks every bit of it.
I watched him at Galaxy this season and he looked really stiff, while his legs seemed to be gone somewhat as well.
He could be a guy you've got to replace before the WC starts.

Mexico game in a couple hours. A lot of reports on the lineup having as many as 7 new faces.

New reports of 3 CBs and 2 WBs. Should be fun.
