Orlando Magic in January during the rebuild:

2012-2013: 2-14
2013-2014: 3-17
2014-2015: 2-15
2015-2016: 2-14
2016-2017: 3-16*

Potentially if we lose the next two as forecast.

6 of the final 10 games going into the AS break are winnable for us with Fournier back. We need to be very cautious and not screw this up. 4 of the final 10 to the AS break are against other teams in the tankathon too (Minny, Miami, Dallas, 76ers).

We lose when fans want to win and make the playoffs then we we accept we suck and just wanna tank, team will start winning despite being out of the playoffs picture. Let's do it right for once.

IIRC what normally happens with us is that towards the end of the season, despite being clearly out of the playoffs and laying eggs for weeks on weeks, the team starts to play hard for a few games for no good reason and loses us a couple draft slots. Fully expecting that to happen at some point.

If we make a panic trade now, for a playoff push, Hennigans head should be called for. It isn't in our best interest to keep half of this team in tact after this season.

Hand the team over to Elf and AG

Win 10 more games, evenly spaced out so we don't go more then 5 losses in a row.

Force LA out of the top 3

Literally the top 5 prospects are PG's, we draft one now what do we do with Elfrid?

Send him to the bench or trade him.

They battle it out in training camp and one of them comes off the bench.

It's fair to say that 76ers don't tank any more ,also they are playing pretty damn well. Heat won 7 in a row.

The Nets have no reason to go out of their way to tank. They just suck really hard.

The Lakers and Dallas are tanking. Orlando appears to have embraced the tank.

I believe the 76ers will trade one of their big men before the deadline and spend the 2nd half of the season both developing and tanking.

I'm really not sure what the Suns or Heat are doing.

Going 2-7 over the last 9, this team's tank got real once we brought Vuc back into the starting lineup. (10-13 before that, with him off the bench)

At least he can lead us to the promised land one way or another!

I'm sure you're half kidding but we have also been without Evan for the last 7 games and without Meeks for the last 4 games. So sliding Vuc to the starting lineup isn't the only key change to the rotation over that span.

He's not kidding. He's been making this argument for weeks. What he didn't want to admit then and what he appears to still be in denial about is this team already lost hope and quit before we put him back in the lineup. Getting hit with the injury bug only made things worse. The original lineup of our best players with biz off the bench is 4-4. The time to build chemistry with that lineup was in the first half of the season... not when morale was in the gutter and injuries were piling. Anything we do now is just a waste of time. Trade Ibaka and bring on the tank.

Spoiler:
We're undefeated with the original lineup with a healthy jodie meeks at 1-0. 8-)

Looks like Demar Derozen is back in the rotation. Ensures us a loss.

Golden state had Ellis at PG and took Curry. You take the best player and let them figure it out

I'm loving what we are seeing from Elf, but he isn't a super star and I think it is obvious he never will be. If the BPA happens to be a PG we take him without thinking twice about Elf.

This taem will win 29- 32 games and find a way how to ruin tanking , get nobody in FA and bury rookie under 2017-18 version of Jeff Green. Feel sorry for whoever Magic pick, his career is about to be ruined. He will probably be PG and at some point Jeff Green -type guy will start over him .

The Magic is on pace for a 32-win season and you are thus projecting the team to be worse over the remaining games. "Ruining" the tank would be something like 0.500 ball the rest of the way. A 17-16 record the rest of the way takes the team to 36-46. I would think that that is your worse case scenario. (Although it is an improvement over last season, and thus justifies GM Hennigan's upward growth.)

For those dreaming of a comeback to the #8 seed, you are hoping for something like a 21-12 record to close out the season. That ~64% winning rate that seems improbable, (but not impossible).

Ruining tank to me would be shooting outselfs from top 5 worst record to 11th worst record, still nowhere near playoffs and better than tanking teams for no reason. Especially if Vogel will just keep rolling with Green,Watson and Augustin like they are key players for Magic future.

I think the real tank starts after the trade deadline. We are show casing are vets. Once the deadline passes Mario will be in the starting lineup with Gordon at the four.
