Corey Brewer for Monta Ellis
Corey Brewer for Monta Ellis... nothing added
Would the Rockets make that deal?

Disclaimer: Trades I post shouldn't make you stressed or angry if you disagree. If you say it's unproductive because it won't happen and we're only allowed to post deals that actually happen, it takes away 99% of trades here and the fun out of the board.

No. Want out of the bad contract, not into a longer and more expensive one. No interest in Monta. Bad fit as well

Re: Corey Brewer for Monta Ellis
I dislike Brewer so much that I'd rather have anyone on this roster other than him, but Monta's contract is beyond terrible.
And realistically, I'm mot sure if the Rockets will throw in 1st-round pick for Reddick's 3-4 month rental.

Re: Corey Brewer for Monta Ellis
Not a chance in regards to Ellis. That does not even warrant a returned message by Morey.
As for Reddick, I haven't seen him play much lately, so I don't know how he'd fit in the Rockets system. I am extremely hesitant to give up the flexibility of a first round pick, though. Despite some beliefs held as gospel by RealGM I do not believe that it would cost a first round pick to move Brewer's contract.
Maybe in the offseason they'd give up a pick if they are just clearing salary; but I'm not sure if Redick would move the needle enough to give up flexibility for half a season of play.

Easily. Reddick is really really good.

I think most definitely.

Re: Corey Brewer for Monta Ellis
Would morey and Phil Jackson do this?
Melo for ryan anderson, Corey Brewer and KJ mcdaniels.
I'm not advocating this, just wondering if it could happen. Would melo approve a trade to Houston knowing it's harden's team.

Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I like melo, but he wouldn't fit this team (stops ball movement), I doubt he would be happy being the second fiddle and he already didn't buy into mike Ds game plan and feuded with him
Also Knicks would want a pick back for sure

oh yeah i forgot he coached Melo. Knicks wanted Love so was just thinking Ryan is a poor man's Love (well not really "poor" since he earns $20m a year). Agree with you that Melo wouldn't be a good fit with Harden I could just see Morey wanting another star and he tried so hard to get Melo a couple of times and missed.

Re: Corey Brewer for Monta Ellis
Since this has kinda become a random transaction thread, I thought I'd share this:
If he's there for a Rockets workout then I would expect on of the centers is on the trade block
Edit: just realized he's probably here for the superbowl lol

We'd most likely have to give up Capela or Dekker or maybe both to get Serge. His three point shooting might be worth it though. All five positions would be a three point threat

i doubt we would have to give up capela, but certainly dekker and harrell might have to be part of a package.

Depends on how good other teams offers are. What if the Warriors offered Igoudala and Livingston for Ibaka?

Orlando would hang up asap! These guys are in their 30s.

early 30s! and they are still better than Dekk/Trez at the present time. Besides with Biyombo, Vuc, Gordon, Payton, Hezonjia and Fournier, the Magic have enough young athletic players, they need experienced vets who are leaders. Iggy and Livingston fit that bill. Anyway, that was just one example. Other teams can offer good deals too.
