Beasley
Beasley has played in 12 games, averaging 5.1 minutes. Wouldn't it make sense for him to be in the D-league? Practice time is focused on the starters and primary bench players. Wouldn't Beasley learn more if he were actually playing basketball?

And get rid of our BEST sideline cheerleader ??? Love this giys attitude !! I would like him to see more PT but he really isn't playing against competition that's making him better, In his limited time he averaging something like 19ppg.

Re: Beasley
With Mudiay out, Harris still on the injured list, and murray finally playing more SG, I think the team wants to keep him around in case someone cannot play. If Harris was to miss a game, than malone should be able to find some minutes for Beasley.
now when Mudiay gets back, or Harris is fully healthy, than yes I agree Beasley should be back in the D-league. Although I disagree with skywalker, I think that him putting up 19 ppg is good, but he needs to work on the defensive end, and he can get that in the D-league much better than he can waiving towels.

Jokic is injured & Nurkic gets just 15 min - Malone plays Faried & Arthur there with Chandler at PF
Mudiay is injured and Murray struggles to get 20+ minutes - Malone plays Nelson 30+ and Barton along with Harris
If Harris & Mudiay are both out, I expect Malone will play Nelson 35 mpg & Barton 35 mpg with Murray getting 26 mpg
Malone has proven that he prefers not to play Murray too much and that he won't play Hernangomez much at all and will only play Nurkic limited minutes and won't even pretend Beasley is on the team. Add Miller and that's four guys on the team that play very little. Add in O'Bryant, who hasn't even practiced with the team until this weekend, if they held a practice and we have five guys that Malone isn't going to play. Even with injuries, he just plays his eight favorites more and two others partial minutes.
Malone's rotation includes:
Jokic
Faried - Arthur
Gallinari - Chandler
Harris - Barton - Murray
Nelson - Mudiay

I understand and agree, but that does not mean that the front office agrees, and I am sure they have a role in sending players to the D-league.

I'm not convinced logic plays any part of anything the Nuggets have done for four years now.

Re: Beasley
I am betting that he is just not ready. Murray and Hernangomez have had rookie issues as well but look far more ready to play. Look around the league, how many rookies have looked raw. The Spurs' Murray has probably looked the most ready to start.
There is just not enough minutes for Beasley even to help get him ready. I agree with the D-league.

I would agree with that, after the draft Connelly said that Beasley was a year away due to his leg injury in college.
I am not trying to justify him not being in the dleague right now, but with the current injuries I can see the reasoning for keeping him with the team until Harris or Mudiay is off the injury list.

OK, with the "current injuries" but that does not cover the entire year and frankly, Malone's not going to play him even with the "current injuries". I'm frustrated with Hernangomez & Murray and how they are being handled. My frustration with Beasley's handling is that he should be playing in the D-league.

Re: Beasley
Interesting article about Beasley. It states his leg is totally healed, as demonstrated in his play in the D-league (earlier in the year).
http://www.denverstiffs.com/2017/2/8/14530390/malik-beasley-we-see-you-denver-nuggets-trade-deadline-jamal-murray
Here are a few quotes:
"He was interviewed after the February 4th loss to the Spurs and asked how he felt out on the court, finally getting playing time. His first thought? "I was kind of mad that we were losing." He famously texted his trainer from the green room on draft night wanting to go work out. Don't mistake his all-world performance as a bench celebrator for a lack of competitive spirit."
"Murray is a sneaky dunker who likes to score with a bit of flash. Beasley - now fully healed from his fractured lower leg - has a very easy grace to his game that translates to the open court and around the hoop. "
"Beasley also gets his hands into passing lanes as he he plays a very aware game. He gives effort on defense even as he’s still working on the nuances, and in fact he and Murray are two of the hardest-working rookies you’ll see this year."
"Murray and Beasley fill much the same role when playing shooting guard but do it in different ways. Murray loves to take tough shots. He's falling sideways or launching over two people off a screen or driving into the paint for a Jordan-esque hand-switching layup. Beasley plays a more efficient game right now: get ball, score ball. He might take two dribbles and hit a turnaround but his body is always perpendicular to the floor. His form is beautiful."
The writer also called Malone a "red assed traditionalist coach".
