Re: Eric Bledsoe
Bledsoe averaging 26/5/8 and almost 40% from the 3 on over 5 attempts a game. Most impressively to me is his almost 2.8 ast/TO ratio.

He's doing great lately. Again, I don't feel we need to trade him now, but I could see a team take notice of him and decide to pay a premium to make a playoff push.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I'm still on the trade Bledsoe train but like you said, I'd strongly consider doing it if a team will pay a premium for him.

Re: Eric Bledsoe
Bledsoe is playing great but damn it kills me that we traded Thomas. Dude lit up Kyle Lowry last night. He should be our starting PG right now. Thomas is averaging 30 a game and Celtics are now 2nd in the east.

Amazing article by Lowe as usual.

Zach Lowe, as always, knocks it out of the park. There is SO much to digest from this article, and I strongly recommend everyone here reads it-- I promise you that you will not be disappointed.
Aside from the incredible basketball (diagraming some of our classics) and team (the trade talk and putting both sides of the argument out there) analysis, some of my favorites:
- All the anecdotal Bledsoe stories
- The very quick "Lowe-bomb" of "(Nobody wants Brandon Knight, by the way.) " killed me hahaha
- Every line mentioning Jared Dudley, he just seems like the greatest teammate of all time.
Just an incredible read.

Bled lit up Kyle Lowry last time played the Raptors too lol 40 points 13 assists, the Celtics are just a better team than us. Either way they're just lining up to be the last loser in the East, they aren't a real contender unless they deal those Nets picks for another star.
That article was a good read though. I was alright with Bledsoe before, but he's made a fan out of me this season with how his game is progressing. He's been playing really good basketball lately, but the real question is can he stay healthy? A great player is useless if they can't stay on the court.

Re: Eric Bledsoe
It’s essential to have a concrete plan what to do with Bledsoe day after lottery day, at the latest. Although i’m of those who advocated keeping him as a mentor to Smith/Fultz/Ball, after watching many of their games i’m convinced that they need as much playing time as they can get. It’d be absurd to sit them most of the game, while Bled’s doing his thing. If he could stay healthy, as he just entered his prime, starting PG position is locked for at least 3-4 years. So talented guys like this year’s PG trio shouldn’t and wouldn’t wait so long to get their chance.
If Bled is a keeper, choice would be Jackson/Isaac/Tatum. If not, welcome Dennis/Lonzo/Markelle.
I seriously hope our FO will acknowledge age disproportion between Bled and our promising young core and operate accordingly.

Re: Eric Bledsoe
5 NBA teams that need to consider blowing it up before the trade deadline
Andrew Lynch @andrewlynch
Feb 2, 2017 at 2:01p ET
The NBA trade deadline is officially three weeks away, and the rumor mill is about to ramp up to breakneck speeds. Although we're not quite sure any big names will be on the move before Feb. 23, the line between buyers and sellers is growing increasingly clear with every passing day.
Here are the five teams that should look to blow it up before the deadline — plus one team that has to avoid the urge to make a move for a second-tier star.
Phoenix Suns (15-34)
The Suns have the ignoble honor of being an awful team that still needs to get even worse. Phoenix currently boasts the second-worst record in the NBA, so you'd think there's not much left in the cupboard. Of course, that's because you're forgetting about Eric Bledsoe — one of the league's best point guards and a guy overshadowed by the Suns' continued putrid performance. Bledsoe deserves better than Phoenix; more important for the Suns, moving the 27-year-old point guard should result in a first-round pick in return. At this point in the Suns' cycle, all they should really care about is stockpiling assets.

I think the pick is more likely to be traded to accomodate Bledsoe, than Bledsoe traded to accomodate the pick.

I hope so too, but from the Lowe article:
Ryan McDonough, the team's GM: "The learning curve for point guards is steep. We think Eric will play better in his late 20s and early 30s, right as Devin is entering his prime.

Re: Eric Bledsoe
I can't think of a deal that makes sense for the Suns. Any team in the top-10 he goes to improves them by probably 4-5 wins over the next two and a half months taking them out of top-5 range.
I don't even think I'd trade him for the Laker pick tbh.

Re: Eric Bledsoe
I feel bad for wanting to trade him. He clearly works hard and wants to win here but there's a big age gap and his injury history is frightening. Every other year he misses half a season. Next year he's due again.

I think it can really go either way - depending on what we can get in return on draft night.
- If we land a top 2 pick, and are able to move Bledsoe for a top 8 and a future, I think we'll go that route: Ball, Booker, Isaac/Tatum would be a very nice core to build around with Chriss and Bender.
- If we can get a better deal moving down in the draft, we'll go that route: E.g. #2 for #4 & #8 with Philly: Bledsoe, Booker, Jackson, Ntilikina
I don't think we're actively shopping Bledsoe, or that he's off limits. I'm sure we're listening to offers and will only move him if the right deal comes along, I think it's more likely that this will happen during the offseason than the trade deadline.

If we land A top 2 pick, we move Bledsoe for a vet all-star pf/c.

The "asset" has to be the right asset—you do not move a major player for a minor asset. Indeed, the Suns already made that mistake two years ago with Isaiah Thomas.

He has flashed a new level of craft, exciting chemistry with Devin Booker, and a willingness to give up the ball in Phoenix's proto-Spursy offense.
I must have missed that last part ...
