I would rather give up our 17 & 18 than give up our 17 and Miami's 18.
I think we have a better shot at making the playoffs with Cousins than Miami does next season, so that Miami pick will end up being more valuable.
Yeah, that's fine too. Gambo said the Sac insider said that Warren, Len + our first wasn't enough. He suggested us throwing in Chriss. My point is that I want to keep Chriss and Bender and would rather mortgage a future first instead.
Thats just being greedy. It takes good players to get good players. It takes MULTIPLE good players to get a great player, and Cousins is a great player. Trust me when i say that it will take one of Chriss or Bender to even keep the talks going. Here we have 2 youngsters that are fighting over the same minutes at the same position, which also happens to be the position that Cousins would play on our team. In the long run keeping both would really do nothing for both of their developments as there wouldnt be nearly enough minutes to go around. Then they just sit on the roster, under developed and under played, which in turn ends up killing their trade value 2-3 years down the line. You get what you can for them while you can and before their value goes into the tank by taking on one of the best bigs currently in the league.
Len/Warren/Chriss (or Bender)/2017 1st/2018 1st for Cousins.
We Still would have plenty of youngsters (Booker/Bender (or Chriss)/Ulis), and future rookies from the Miami picks, thus its not like we are hedging our future that much at all.
