Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas and Discussion 2: End This Knightmare!
If we can get Boogie for Len, Warren, our unprotected 2017 first, and the Miami pick...I'm in!
No Bender! No Chriss!
I'll even throw in Knight OR better yet...move Knight for Noel.
Bledsoe/Ulis
Booker/Barbosa
PJ/Dudley/Bender
Cousins/Chriss
Chandler/Noel
And just like that...we are a few free agents away from making it rain reaaaaaaaal quick.
When Chriss matures and Tyson retires can you imagine a stretch 4/5 frontline of Chriss and Boogie? Goddddamn! Possibly with Bender being a stretch 3. That's almost ideal in today's NBA.

There is probably nothing to it. I still don't want him though.

The fascinating thing is that Gambo is claiming this is coming from a source inside the KINGS org. That would fit McD's MO. His trades are never leaked ahead of time. Is it possible the source is . . . Cousins himself?
THAT would add a really interesting wrinkle.

So, Gambo is not accurate is what this is saying, no talks since before Christmas
Gambo hasn't been right about the Suns in 5 years - or the day Ryan McD took office - whatever came first

Gambo isn't exactly reliable either so that's not saying much is it?

Re: The Boogie Watch
Imagine that we win the lottery and we can draft our first number #1 pick in the history of the franchise. This seems a REALLY good draft.
I would not trade that feeling and opportunity (and a lot of more assets) for Cousins.
IMO we just need to trade Knight and probably other veteran player if we can get good value.
We are rebuilding.

Re: The Boogie Watch
I don't recall the last time an Arizona radio personality spoke at such length and with such confidence about a trade rumor. It's been several years. This is smoke. I bet there's fire. Objectively, it makes sense: my BSometer's not going off.
I don't think we'll need to give up the farm to get him like some are suggesting. To my mind, the "farm" is both MIA picks and Bender. Because Chriss isn't going anywhere - believe that.
Len, TJ, PHX '17, MIA '18/19
To my mind, the questions are, can we keep Bender? Can we keep MIA '21? Can anyone beat that package as it stands without those assets? I'm not sure about these things. If Boston isn't willing to trade one of the BKN picks, we probably don't have much competition for Cousins. Plus, Vivek Ranadive owns that team, so who knows what they're thinking.

I don't doubt that he does but when was the last time he got the scoop on a big trade involving the Suns?

Re: The Boogie Watch
Im sure we had talks with the Kings around Christmas, but if anyone bothered to listen to the actual Burns and Gambo show, Gambo was saying that this was way way more recent. Like a few days ago that he was talking to his Kings Source about it, and it sounded like there were still ongoing talks.
For as much as Gambo has been wrong, he has also been right. He knows that McD runs a tight ship and has found sources elsewhere to get his info, and good on him to do so.
Right now, its a ray of light atleast.

I wouldn't make too much out of it. Given that nowhere on the national media circuit that's given it any credence is telling.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Re: The Boogie Watch
Only competition is probably Boston, and we can beat them.
This makes sense for Ryan. Bledsoe, Booker, Boogie = our big 3.
Plus the Bledsoe/Boogie connection may bring us Wall or other Wildcats.
