This one is going as expected. Down 27-17 in the 1st. We really are 2.5 (Westbrook and Adams are each one whole and Oladipo is a half) good players and a bunch of either scrubs or guys who need a few more years to develop into true positive impact players.

Whenever Russ struggles with Kanter out, some people will just say "lol westbrook chucking"

So many people truly don't realise how much Russ is doing with this roster. It's garbage outside of Adams and Oladipo, and even then neither of them are (yet), offensively speaking, reliable enough to be second options. He will have off nights without Kanter because that's 15 points we're missing that NOBODY else on the roster is going to give. He has to do so much, and with such little spacing for a guy who excels in the midrange/driving, of course his efficiency is going to suffer. Games against good teams with Kanter missing? Even easier for them to plan against Russ.

We're shooting 8/37 from three in our last six quarters of play. That's an eye-poppingly bad 21.6%.

This guy on Facebook just said we should have offered dion waiters 12 million a year(the extension we offered dress) and that we paid Adams so it's not like we not used to blowing money...

So according to him dion is just as good as Adams

Thank goodness San Antonio isn't a team built to blow teams out on offense. They are a great team, but they don't have an explosive offense that can put teams away so you can kind of hang around all game. If this had been the Warriors as bad as we started, the game would have been a 30 pt deficit in the 2nd quarter. They just aren't explosive enough on offense to put fear in you. It was their downfall last year, and it might be again in this years playoffs.

Guess I need to turn it off again because as soon as I started watching our lead vanished

Why the hell isn't Westbrook in earlier either

Pleasantly surprised to see we had fought all the way back to take a 73-71 lead late in the third quarter (between 1 and 2 minutes to go). I check the score again about 10ish minutes later and we're down 86-77 about two minutes into the 4th. Spurs go on a 15-4 run to regain control of the game. Oh well.

From up 73-70 with two minutes to go in the third to down 93-80 with 6.5 minutes to go in the 4th. Spurs used just 8.5 minutes to go on a 23-7 run. Ouch.

I didn't get to watch. What happened? Bench, singler, what?

Payne is a minus -31 tonight. Roberson is 0/4 from the field (0/4 from three) and has scored 1 point. Just all kinds of yuck from everyone but Russ and Adams.

Roster building challenge: spend 44 million dollars and 3 first round picks and build a worse bench than presti. I dare you.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I'm done with Payne. Could we get anything decent for him?

We've shot 13/54 from three the last two games. That's an awful 24.1%.

We. Need. Shooters.

Why does Billy hate abrines? Do he and Sam have something against threes? My guess is that a roberson three clanked off the backboard so hard that it collapsed the ceiling of the practice facility killing both their families last year.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.
