What's the most important matchup in this game?
Russell vs. Nelson? Maybe.
How about bench guards against each other? I think that's crucial.

Man, Nurkic just can't play a decent game, even against the Lakers ?!!

You guys like Mozgov as much as your broadcaster? You can have him, if you want.

I love mozgov. Not for that salary but that's not his fault.

At this point, I don't know how can Nuggets even get a bag of peanuts for Nurkic , he's just horrible right now.

Yeah, Nurkic's energy just sucks right now. Might just have to ship him for a change of scenery. He seems checked out.

Nurkic really seems to have quit caring, it is too bad, damn that kid can be a hell of a player if he can find a coach that is willing to let him play through his mistakes for a couple of months.

They can hype Nelson's offense and leadership all they want, but damn is he bad at defense. Harris seems to have regressed on that end as well.

Murray in only 27 minutes was a plus 9, yet Nelson got 36 minutes and Murray was sen to the bench. Sometimes i really don't understand Malone.

Nurkic needs to work a lot on his game, its not like he didn't get any chance under Malone this season, he was the starter for a good chunk of the season. He really has lots of problems on the offensive end, in today's pick and roll and pick and pop oriented NBA , he seems to be way behind, he lacks major offensive skill , his shooting touch is terrible , he possess only one offensive move , back to the basket, when he try's to overpower his defender, and its so predictable. He had same trouble with the Bosnian national team this past summer, his offensive game was all out of order , poor shooting percentages , horrible in game decisions and he was the main offensive option on that team. For example , Zubac is way ahead of Nurkic as a player right now and he's only a rookie , he really showed him tonight how center should play game of basketball.

Emulate Jokic not Zubac.

No-D Enver Nuggets let the Lakers score way above their season average.
Mozgov & Zubac combined to score 39 pts - 2 tall centers and we only played Nurkic 12 minutes - seems like the Nuggets could have used another center
Nuggets only played 3 guards
Every Nuggets starter had a "minus" on the +/-
Every Nuggets bench player had a "plus" on the +/-

Emulate Jokic not Zubac.

It's impossible , Jokic is anomaly at Center position, he has basketball handle and skill of point guard, his offensive game is so diverse , Nurkic can't learn that , its god given talent. In a way Zubac is little bit similar to Jokic , he has that same soft touch around rim and can make those floaters like Jokic , he reads game very well , of course he's not ultra skilled as Jokic , but for a guy with that size he is a terrific young prospect , him and Nurkic are similarly built and that's why I compared those two.

running offense by Nelson is plain & slow too.

if the man who dribbles the ball is walking, every opponent can guard his man and position with less issues.

With Murray is very different.
Or Mudy
Or Jokic.
Also Faried tried to run from the defense (with some bad results :noway: )

The problem is Mozgov owned Nurkic , but I agree, Malone should have tried Nurkic in the 4th quarter , Nuggets were too small, but again their perimeter defense was awful , it was gun slinging duel that LA won.

Nurkic only played 12 minutes - it's hard to make much of a difference playing 12 minutes
Seems more like Mozgov owned Faried & Arthur

If he opened that first quarter well , I am sure his minutes would have been increased later in the game , he looked very bad from the start , missing easy shots , getting scored on etc. Team actually played much better without him, but still later in the game they needed size in the paint , but he' s so unreliable right now its difficult for the coach to trust him . He will have chance again tonight, let see how he does against Marc Gasol, he should come to the game tonight with some pride, and show all of his worth as a player.

Malone does not play Nurkic more if he has a good game.
Malone does not play Hernangomez more if he has a good game.
Malone does not play Murray more if he has a good game.
Malone plays Jokic, Faried, Gallinari, Chandler, Harris, Barton, Nelson.
