help me out, whats the fascination with Murray? 3rd string PG not even getting 10 mpg

He's behind Tony Parker and Patty Mills. Spurs have depth

I think we might have overvalued Ibaka when he was on the Thunder. He looked better with Durant and Westbrook than with us. It is easier when you play with 2 stars on a team, than no stars.

Was slotted to go 15-20 in mock drafts from last years draft. Spurs steal him at 29th (of course). He makes the best of his minutes when he sees the floor for San Antonio. Not too bad for a rookie already starting some in a few games for the Spurs.

we dont need glue guys, role players. We need an Alpha dog.

Of course, but what proposed Ibaka trades have you seen netting us that?

I think Anderson could be a Turk level glue guy (but an even better 2 way player) in his prime. I wouldn't look down on players like that.

Am I the only one who thinks he has looked pretty damn good all season? If not for the fact that he will want to leave, id be wanting him to stay here long term without question. Hes better this year than he was last year in OKC imo...

I think he's played well. Starting with Parker out and shown to be a decent little combo guard. Attacks space can defend and finishes well. Better than that dude from Toronto imho

He's a role player... I remember when people said that he would have the same numbers as Kevin Love on a team like ours.... which was hilarious since they prioritized guys like Dion Waiters and Enes Kanter over him offensively in OKC.

The only real shocking findings from watching him on this team is that his 3 point shot is pretty legit, but he's below average as an all-around defender/rim protector. Shows that the last few years of his drop-off weren't really a fluke.

Its going to be hard trading him away for anything more that is a mid-round pick at this point. Unless there is a team that is loaded with young talent and ready to compete, I can't see anybody trading anything substantial from him. Hennigan really screwed screwed up on this one.

Pau's numbers have been down significantly this season and he will probably retire soon, he's 37. LMA and Serge would be a good combo.

Defense is supposed to be the best part of Ibaka's game, so I'd say he was better in OKC... went from being a 43.6% rim protector in OKC to 53.7% rim protector for us. Blocks are down, too.

Spurs have literally nobody that could fit into trade for Ibaka to make salaries work. Even if they give Anderson, Murray ,Lee and Forbes it's still nowhere near money going into Magic direction. Only way how they can make trade is if they give up Green, Parker or Gasol. And they won't trade any of them ( i mean maybe Gasol, but Gasol is hurt , old and still can opt in for another year ).

I could get behind an Anderson/Murray/pick deal if offered.

Salaries are nowhere near matched even to make that deal. Magic would have to eat Pau Gasol and his deal

as for Ibaka trades
any of these interested teams will send crap our way...

Wiz propably would be trading Morris+Oubre (with their recent success they woudnt want to part with importand player Porter is)
Hou would dump Brewer as they are shopping him hard and add some young for us to bite prolly Dekker or KJ or Harrell .YUCK.
Indiana propably wants to dump Young or more likely Ellis on us and they would add young like Robinson to sweaten the deal.
Toronto trade offers were beaten to death so Im not looking into it.

out of them propably Wizards offer would be best talentwise
who else was there?

meh I dont see anything that would make ton of sense

as some of you already stated SA dont have players with matching salary outside of Danny Green or other vets
Portalnd scrubs arent very good (If we will trade for Crabbe I will burn all my magic merchendise and become Twolves fan- ...if Henny is willing to pay that scrub Crabbe contract whie didnt want to pay Dipos new contract I will go berserk)
Boston has many young players and options but Ainge is lowballing everybody with his crap proposals like Young and Jackson it would be nice to get Brown or Rozier or both (for either Ibaka or Vuc or both yeah both)but the leftover NBDL type of youngs who cant smell the court... like Young and Jackson ...is omg gtfo Ainge.

I'm so infuriated with this team and I'm all over the place. I know I said we should just stand pat and lose....I lied. I want us to blow it up and keep Elf, AG, Payton. we could fill out our team with D Leaguers for all I care.

I'm done with not having a direction and being a treadmill team would be awful for us. If they're going to **** lose, then lose. The last time Ive been this pissed at this team is when we lowballed one of the greatest centers of all time.
