Two questions:

1: Aren't the Clippers hard capped, meaning that they have to match all incoming salary in a trade?

2: If Melo waives his nt for the Clips, is it gone forever or will he still have it on his new team?

1. Yup, they have some room as they're currently around $2.5M under the hard cap, but they can't take more than those $2.5M, and they have to add Melo's trade kicker (about $6M) to any incoming salary.

2. He'd still have it on the Clippers.

Melo for Kanter straight swap.

Knick trade.

lmao seriously

 yeah I was joking.

But I still question whether it's something Knicks would do. Wouldn't be a straight swap though

Based on this information, I don't expect Melo to get traded to the Clippers or anyone else this season. Phil painted himself right into a corner with the no trade clause and trade kicker.

no need to trade him for any of these scrubs being talked about...unless we are getting at least 2 young players (or picks), id rather hold on. Melo still has a role on this team for a few years.....Rose on the other hand....
Move Randle and we are chip ready !

seems like jackson sure sees it a different way, though. it seems like his line of thinking is "move on asap and recoup whatever value i can, whether it's even or not."

given that carmelo only wants to play in 3 possible places and only 1 of them is showing interest, that makes it all the more difficult to attain equal value.

Off-topic: Does the league approve Carmelo playing games like he is the mummy or something?

I don't see how Melo fits in with any of those teams.

The best destination is Washington.

The NTC is no bother for Doc. Only way Melo would get moved is if Doc was to be fired or leave on his own. Doc Rivers does not trade stars. Period.

Then trade Evan Turner for Miles Plumlee (bad contract for bad contract, it may work). Complete Plumlee family!

Paul Allen's always wanted a complete set of Plumlees.
