Re: Trade Thread (TRADE WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE)
Everytime I think about Morrow, I want him back...then I watch him play and the feeling goes away.
I would take him over Varejao for sure, but I think his salary wouldn't work, and no way would the Thunder want AV.

Re: Trade Thread (TRADE WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE)
Honestly I'd look into TJ McConell. He's very under rated and he plays the game with toughness and makes good decisions. I doubt we'd be willing to trade what it would take to get him, but that's a guy I'd modestly target.

What do you think of trying to get Anthony Morrow back?
Can you believe he's 31 now?
I don't think GSW has anything we'd want except for McCaw, and there's no way they'd do that. I honestly see him playing out his contract in OKC unless he's packaged with something else.

I don't know if this player is needed, but what do you guys think about Greg Monroe? He's not a monster on defense, but he would give us a nice scoring, rebounding, and assisting big man to play behind or start before Zaza. In a way, I see why this wouldn't work out as Zaza can provide what he can at the fraction of what he's making.

I think you answered your own question, but also under emphasised Monroe's defensive woes.
You also didn't look up Monroes salary either.
A HUGE no for Greg Monroe.

I think Clark shoots fine, and Livingston is shooting his highest career fg%.
I would love to add a SCORER to the bench though. Tough to find for nothing. And when you say big, I don't disagree, but who? That's the big question.
I might be in the minority here, but if their health checks out, I would love to add Jack and Landry for depth. They were studs for us back in the Jackson days and our system now would be good for them to rep their future value.
I mean seriously, Jack had several 20 point games for us in the playoffs against Denver and the Spurs. Landry was legit solid and closed out many games for us. Those two are tough minded, and have chemistry with our core three.
I know many can't stand Jacks ball pounding, but for what we could use, and how we play now, I'm sure he would fit right in. And Landry had a solid year last season for Philly. We could potentially get them dirt cheap, without giving up assets.....makes sense to me if their health is good.
So Briante it is for now. And I guess Jack and Landry are to longin the tooth at this point.

Kerr said they would look to do something in the next few weeks. I'm not sure if he was referring to Briante or a potential trade/buyout.

At shoot around today, Kerr said that Briante was one of five guards that the FO/scouts had been sending him tape of for the past month.

Yeah, but without the mouth.
Beverley needs a straight punch in the mouth.

I haven't crosschecked all of this, but I think the numbers are all correct.

DRummond has been playing like he checked out ages ago
(funnily enough his attitude was the biggest knock on him coming out of school too)

I only had to listen to that guy speak once and I knew he had the fire of a sloth on ritalin. Just too placid and meek.

With natural ability like his I think itd be best if someone groomed him into a Camby role. 20-28 mpg, D and boards only. He could do the DeAndre role well too with more mpg, you just can't win with him as a top offense option.

Re: Trade Thread (TRADE WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE)
Devin Booker for Klay this offseason.
Would you as a dubs fan?
Would you as a Suns organization?
Both can be #1 options. Both can go supernova.
Klay is more proven, a champion and Olympian in the early years of his prime.
Devin Booker is younger and has a slightly higher ceiling than Klay.
Personally, im on the fence. I just wanted to spark conversation. Id lean towards keeping Splash Bros together

As good and young and cheap as Booker is, I don't think you break up the chemistry of the Splash Fam now.
