Remove the 4th and 1st quarters from last two games vs Warriors and we beat them in the other 6 combined. :)

Turned the game off after the first few minutes but it seems Frank had a good game based on my end of game phone notification. How'd he do? Anyone watch?

when Curry is shooting like this, the game is over in three quarters... I wonder why he/they can not do this in NBA finals...

If an Owner as bad as Chris Cohan owned the Hornets for over 15 years I guarantee you would have a different perspective.

ain't enough tread left on them tires. :noway: Probably could get a rd 2 or a average bench guy. Factor salary, age, and it matters.

If they are in good health...... they will do just fine. Not every guy will be hot every game. However.....with Curry,Durant,Klay, you hardly NEED every guy hot. FWIW... they ALSO do great D. 8-) . Odds are GSW has HOME advantage....so? Who beats a healthy GSW 4 times including at least one on GSW's floor? If ANY time is missing starters, has guys playing hurt... that would matter. If GSW is full strength.....I doubt ANY playoff series gets to a game 6.

By the way.. don't underestimate Kaminsky.....he'll be good, no star but real good.

You're talking to us about being a tortured fan base? Do you remember George Shinn and Bob Johnson?

I can't decide if I want the Warriors to go 16-0 in the playoffs with an average winning margin of 20+ in the finals, just to reinforce how ludicrous it was for Durant to sign with them, with TV ratings at an all time low by the end of the playoffs as everyone is utterly bored watching the Warriors win blowouts. Or if I want to see one of their 4 superstars end up with a season ending injury, to at least give teams in the playoffs a fighting chance, and lose in the WC finals. And when I say "injury", nothing career threatening, like an ACL tear, I'm not a monster, just something nagging like a deep quad bruise or a broken finger.

I know that this was pretty much an unwinnable game either way, but some of the defensive play left a bad taste in my mouth.

Read on Twitter

We pretty much made errors on defense from the very first possession.

I'm curious as to why you singled out Sessions on that play? Sessions was in the other corner. Curry was cross matched on Marco (I think). Sure, Sessions jogs back, but I'm not sure that even at full sprint he gets anywhere near Curry. Meanwhile the player guarding Sessions never makes it over halfcourt, so its not like he put us in a 4 v 5 situation.

Yeah, that looks like Marco should have been a lot quicker to go back on defense instead of watching his shot fall. It's pretty bad when Marvin is running past him while he's still staring at the wrong basket.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

They weren't great but they weren't nearly as bad as Cohan. Cohan went years without even showing his face at Warriors games.

Fair point. Maybe I should have given that more thought.

However, I still think that he was a part of the problem. First off, he's the point guard and is responsible for being the first man back. That assignment falls on the other guard if the PG ventures in the paint, takes a corner 3 or smth. On this possession that wasn't the case, yet he just stood there and took his time before retreating back.

Second off, he should be constantly aware of Steph. There's not a man in the league about whom you should be more worried about in transition. Yeah, cross-matches are tough to deal with but that's why you have to communicate through them. Raise your hand and yell to Marco that it's on him now. That's quite nonchalant to think that Marco will just probably pick Steph up after the shot (and that's just what happened, Marco got back thinking about his own matchup, not Steph).

Moreover, it's not like Steph was hidden or Marco or anything. He probably saw Steph for like a half a second before coming off the screen and firing that up. It doesn't say anything good about him either, but he didn't have a clue that Steph should be his worry now.

Third off, it doesn't even seem like Sesh picked up anyone in particular. Just jogged back to the paint as if they were playing the Washington Generals. It just adds up to the overall lack of thought he gave this possession.

^Fair enough. For the record, I'm pretty much down for any and all Sessions bashing anyway.
