Dennis Smith with a triple double
Tj Leaf with 32 and 14 (14 of 18)
We probably won't be seeing Pat at anymore Lonzo games, which should make Bishop happy.

This bizarre winning streak might be what sets up apart from a true star building block (Fultz, Jackson, Smith) and nets us a random MLE type talent

That's incorrect. If you're a team like GSW you don't need a star, you only need a good role player. The draft isn't just about adding stars. How many stars are on the 2nd seed Celtics? 1 or 2? You should be happy that you get an above average player on draft night. All you need is some great defense and offense to win a championship and a little luck.

So the team who already drafted 3 stars, 2 of which were lotto picks, AND was able to sign KD because they had all those stars on their second contract, doesn't need to strike draft gold huh? Funny that.
Also Boston has nothing that resembles a true star, but their closest are IT and Horford, which were both FA signings. IT was a lucky find and perfect fit with the Celtics culture being built and fit their lack of star - if Smart was more in that star mould IT would not have blossomed the way he did. Horford was their "we need a star, and KD is friends with Al, so if we sign this semi-star the other star might also sign" signing. He ended up a consolation prize, and if you ask Celtics fans whether or not they need a star they will answer yes. They're exactly that star away from being a true contender and challenger to the Cavs. That's why all their fans keep posting Butler trades, and it's why they will try to get Hayward in FA.
