See, you don't get it. The GM makes the bad deals, then Hammond fixes the GM mistakes. Just like he did with Larry Harris.

Incredible effort by Hammond to fix another one of Larry Harris' mistakes. Hammond might have a real future doing this GM thing.

I don't think anybody is arguing that they're good or anything close to it.

It's indeed an important skill to have in life to get kudos for covering up/fixing your stuff-ups.

Hibbert did own them on opening night. I think practically every player in the league can be successful, just depends on the situation, coach, desire, etc. These 2 aren't dinosaurs in age.

If Hibbert wants to protect the rim for us, he can do a decent job of it, scheme be damned.

Now whether Hibbert wants to do this is another question. Evidently he didn't in Charlotte.

“We are excited to add Miles to our roster,” said Cho. “He is an athletic big man who brings additional physicality and rebounding to our frontcourt rotation. He’s a proven player with a strong work ethic and we think he’ll fit in well with our core group.”

So do we think the Hornets preferred Plumlee to Henson, or does Henson have more value? It stands to reason he does if only because his contract isn't as horrid, but if Miles can get back close to where he was at the end of last season he'd be the better player.

Also was it Milwaukee or Charlotte who refused Lamb + Hawes for Monroe?

Hibbert is expiring and we hope Hawes is. It couldn't be more irrelevant how well they play. We are at best a 7th seed, at worst picking like 8th. This season has been rendered near meaningless.

Yes, I agree. But when someone has to be so thin skinned to say that they can't root for hawes because he voted for trump, I can't let that stand. It's that type of hate filled bigotry that led to what happened in Berkeley last night.

I don't associate or befriend people who are alt-right, why should I willingly cheer for them on a basketball court? Especially if they aren't even a good player. It seems you are going to let that stand.

And what does what happened in Berkeley have to do with anything? They canceled because the student body didn't want him there, freedom of expression.

Since when is Hawes alt-right? Do you even know what that means? And those were professional paid protestors, not students, creating a scene.

RealGM isn't a safe space, so quit trying to make it one. Now go back to your hot chocolate and coloring books and leave the adults alone.

I didn't say anything about making anywhere a safe space lol calm yourself down

Honestly, Novak being cut makes me almost as happy. I love Steve, but it was more than time for him to hang it up.

Seriously. He's played a total of 20+ minutes this season, and sits in a sport coat on the bench, looking more like a coach than most of the coaches. Make him a coach, for cripes sakes...

From chatting on their board, they needed a PnR back up center, because they had to change their offense when Zeller left the game. Could be something to that given their offense is -6 with Zeller off the court.

Exactly. I am all for having him around the team. Seems like he has good relationships with his teammates. Keeping him around in a coaching capacity would be great.

I'm personally dropping Plumlee off at the airport just to see with my own 2 eyes that he's gone

How much value do we think Rubio has these days?

If something like Snell + Henson or Monroe or Telly could do the trick, I suspect Kidd would be pushing for it.

WOW!

This is incredible. I can't believe anyone would take on that contract. They bailed us out big time. Very happy with this trade.

Last year Plumlee was pretty useful, which got him a fat contract. He's been pretty bad this year, but a different situation with team than runs better pick & rolls than the Bucks, he might come back from the dead.
