We needed a stretch 5 for a while now. Now we have Hawes and Thon as stretch 5s. Hawes will probably not be here long but I look foward to see the experiment with the center above the arc for a long portion of the game.

Who knows, maybe Charlotte thinks they can turn Plumlee around like they did Zeller.

Also, I believe Hammond got denied from Charlotte attempting a Monroe for Hawes/Lamb swap earlier in the year. I wouldn't be surprised if Hawes is the guy management sees as our future backup center and not Monroe. From a fit perspective, it makes sense.

Can you expand on this?

Henson can be sent packing for expirings should the club elect to eject him

This is amazing trade, we can sit on Hamond all we want but he just got us off a terrible contract, bravo!

That would be amazing.

I'm not gonna say Plumlee was a bad trade, but why sign him last year if you are gonna offer him the baseball equivalent of 1 at bat per week ? He didn't have a prayer of building upon some of the success he had from last year. It makes me think our front office and coaching staff wasn't on the same page. The obvious scenario is that Kidd was flipping off the front office by sitting Plumlee. With skyrocketing salaries, finding value via FA is going to become harder and harder. Stripping the roster to the core falls under the category of be careful what you wish for. I spose we could trade Brogdon before he hits 25 next year and impose a roster wide 5 million dollar fine for having a birthday.

I do too but I can't see getting an expiring for him. Maybe there's another dumb team out there

Anyone else curious how trades are finalized in the NBA?

Like do they hit "Submit" on the NBA app, and there's a pop up, like "Are you sure?"

Herb Kohl is threatening the billionaires (with a b) to withhold his arena contributions unless there is one player from Wisconsin.

What are the rules around making a player a coach/a coach a player? Surely you can't move him from being a player to being a coach, pay him and keep him around then move him back to being a player within that season?

Would be nice. In a perfect world I'd like to see

Henson traded for expiring
Monroe Opts out
Hawes Opts out
Mirza trade for expiring
Delly trade for expiring
let all current expiring deals expire

Go into the offseason with Brogdon, Middleton, Maker, Parker, Giannis, Vaughn. Pick in the top 10.

Resign Snell to a reasonable deal and then get some actual productive free agents!

But that's a lot to ask from our front office.

Lmao, you are looking to win in 2021? Please more 19 year olds, nothing says building a contender like a team full of kids who have no clue how to win in the NBA teaching each other how to fail. Plus Giannis would be gone after all these years of losing and they would lose big time.

I said get some productive free agents in my plan. That's likely going to be guys with experience. Furthermore, in a subsequent post, I had a list of players that are nowhere near 19 years of age.

Yeah, $60MM in cap space would help that for sure.

You know we can just put him on the front row BEHIND the Bucks bench and he can still wear his sports coat and literally be only a foot behind where he normally just gets up and hi 5's guys and then sits back down. Give him a lockerroom pass, and there would actually be no difference, no one would even notice he's not on the team.
