ESPN's preview just said the whole Process brought pain to the Philadelphia fans. Such a **** network.

I mean it did in some ways. That doesn't mean we didn't trust it tho.

The way Beadle phrased it though was "The slogan that brought so much pain to Philadelphia fans". Idk it sounded at least to me like nobody agreed with it.

I like where Billups' head is at saying he's more excited to see Embiid than Harden tonight. Harden is putting up spectacular stat lines but honestly it's not as impressive when he gets those quadruple doubles including 10 turnovers. Iverson used to be murdered about his turnovers back in the day and I never really hear about it when it comes to Jim Harden and Westbrook.

Bummer!

I was really looking forward to tonight's rematch with Cousins!

Oh well, if he still has pain then he should sit out. I'll be officially rooting for losses in these games btw.

Why are you blaming his shoes? You act like adidas has horrible shoes. Many players wear adidas. Do you have personal knowledge how their shoes are made compared to Nike?

Brook Lopez, Derrick rose had career threatening injuries with them... If you look at Embiid's shoes the tongue is to the side... Looks like an odd design which probably doesn't give a lot of ankle support...

This is mostly fan hysteria from me... But he has had a few knee and ankle tweaks... Trying a different pair of shoes isn't a bad idea...

Pompey saying that Embiid may not play tomorrow. Hopefully that is wrong.

with the deadline coming closer, i think its wise to be "overcautios" with embiid, so we are able to effectively showcase our other bigs. would make zero sense if we keep em all...

I'm still hoping this is the team being cautious... Anyone thinking there's something seriously wrong?

There's nothing seriously wrong. It was obvious that he hyperextended his knee and therefore got a bone bruise (which often happens in tandem). That is a 2-3 week injury. He wanted to play against HOU on national TV even though the injury wasn't healed yet. He probably shouldn't have played in that game at all, but hey, I get it. He wanted to play. Now when they saw the inevitable result of playing while still injured (soreness), they're going to rest him for the actual time needed to heal the injury.

Any drama is because he played against HOU when he shouldn't have.

He tweaked his knee, and that's it. He wouldn't have played against Houston if there was anything serious.

This is actually good for the team in a twisted way because it lets Noel and Okafor play more before the deadline, and it lets us lose some games to get back into lottery position. Embiid has already established himself as a star, and this has nothing to do with his foot injury, so let's just let them be cautious.

I root for wins with Embiid or Simmons leading the way, and for losses when they are out.

Derrick rose tore his knee on a jump. Didn't appear like the shoe had major impact on the injury. And Joel broke his navicular before signing with adidas.

I think Yao Ming had multiple foot injuries with another shoe company, maybe Reebok. Jordan broke his foot in Nikes, and he is a lot smaller than Embiid or Ming.

I'm not sure there is evidence that Adidas presents a shoe with greater risk of injury. In addition, the sixers stated that while adidas would design the outer shoe, that their orthopedic surgeons would design the orthodic and interior support of the shoe.
