THIS.
It's already a wildly successful; beyond-wildest-imagination season IMO.

Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

You know, what would really tickle my fancy would be if Leonsis announced that Grunfeld wouldn't be extended the same day he announces a name change back to the Bullets.

Ernie announces his retirement during the championship victory parade as President Mark Warner looks on.

I would say, ECF and successful impeachment of the current POTUS.

Continued regular season success, a solid acquisition at the trade deadline, easy dismantling of lesser teams in the playoffs en route to a deep playoff run.

No deadline trade of any R1 pick -- this year or future. (But Ernie will do that)
Ernie retires at end of season. (But Ernie won't do that)
Beal continues to play at his new level through end of the season.
Oubre has another jump in consistency/efficiency.

I still however think our shallow bench will be a huge liability in the playoffs. Our starting five will be running on fumes by then.
Thing about the playoffs is rotations get tighter and benches become somewhat
less important. But I'll concede that our rotations can't get much tighter than
they already are.
I should have phrased my reply differently. What worries me most about our lack of depth is the wear and tear it's putting on our starting 5, especially Wall, Beal, and Otto, given their injury histories. How well will their bodies hold up?
I'm holding out hope that EG will acquire another Dre Miller or Ramon Sessions-type to give us some quality minutes late in the season. I'm not sure who might be available at the vet minimum. He's overseas now, but it'd be great to see Steve Blake back in a Wizards' uni.

Don't kid yourself, if this team loses to the Boston Celtics in the 2nd round, it's going to be a huge disappointment.
confernce finals or bust

We actually can challenge the cavs...even with this weak bench...
Oubre vs lebron for 6 games....
Kyrie vs wall
Beal vs the rim
Porter vs nobody
Can't wait til Monday...give lebron flash backs of the spurs draining 3s nunstop...he's going to take his talents to boston

The thing with athletes is the more minor injuries they play thru the better they're bodies become at overcoming them...Beal would've missed more games had he not played thru small Injuries, same with porter....
Our guys are still getting bumps and bruises they're just not takin days off to rest and are playing thru them
