He almost has that Jimmy Butler vibe about him where he's already a lock down defender, but people aren't sure if he'll be able to develop an offense so he's ranked a bit lower. But, if he develops offensively he's a star. This is the type of kid that you really don't want a team like the Spurs to get their hands on. They won't just make him a nice player like Johnathan Simmons or Danny Green, they'll turn him into a star like Kawhi Leonard.

Don't want to set the bar too high, but I agree with you completely. Use the Clippers pick on this guy and grab whoever falls with the improving Raps pick. This could be our Gary Payton/Rajon Rondo/Dennis Johnson/Maurice Cheeks. His motor and ability to grab rebounds and blocks that a point guard shouldn't get make him the kind of talent you don't normally find late in a draft.

Memphis is about to pass us in win percentage if they hold on against OKC. Dropping yet another spot. Indiana picked up another win and is making up ground on us.
We're getting closer to the 18-20 range every day! Give me Rabb/Bridges + Melton and I'm pretty happy.

We need to keep him lowkey and this is a type of player Masai loves; Look at Pow for example he did not have a shot and now look at him he's outside the arc shooting 3's ; Also if our pick can land us one of Bam or Thomas Bryant Drools

I'm not a fan of Bryant. If we're taking a big man who can't rebound they'd better be freaking Dirk on offense.

Not a fan of Bryant either just his range is closer if BAM is off board; Want Bridges/Rabb/Bam the most

Fair enough. I'd prefer to grab/trade down for Collins myself if none of those guys fall. Rabb would be my preference as a guy who seems likely to at least be a starter in the league. Low bust potential and a fairly high ceiling.

MVPbrook just snapped. Memphis is going down tonight.

Perfect. So we're 22nd and both Memphis AND OKC are right behind us. I was hoping for Westbrook to pass us. :D
Dough Boy bringing good news tonight...Sorry bout Ricky.

Not to get ahead of things, but I'm kind of down for a full rebuild if this team somehow misses the playoffs(unlikely) or gets bounced in the 1st round(more likely). Anyone checked out the 2018 draft class at all? I only knew about Ayton, but Bomba is a giant! 7 feet tall and a 7'9 wingspan with athleticism. He'd be our Mutumbo!

He's the definition of a tweener at that size. There have been successful and even exceptional(Barkley) undersized power forwards before, but most I can think of also had a post game. Bridges scouting report states pretty clearly that he lacks a post game. Again he's not even 19, so he could turn into something very different in the next few years, but at the moment he's clearly a tweener.

Bridges is perfect for today's undersized 4, who can play and defend both 3/4 .. I think we will be lucky if he slides to late 1rd pick ..

How many 4s are 6'6?

Draymond Green is listed 6'7, but most likely is closer to 6'6 and he plays both power forward and center.. If Bridges has 7ft reach you don't really have to worry about his measured height, because what really matters is players reach more then measured height ..especially on defense.

Michael Porter, Trevon Duval, Kevin Knox, Collin Sexton all have big time upside as well

As I said there are exceptions, but I'm noticing that the majority are all star caliber players. The rest are D league guys. If you check out the D League it's basically full of tweeners.

Im fine with grabbing Bridges and hoping he becomes one of the special ones, particularly when we have another pick. If he just becomes a good pro rebounder who hits the 3 ball at a decent clip he's already an okay player. Anything on top of that is a bonus. If he became Draymond part two or anything remotely close to Barkley (a lot to ask for sure) I think we'd have hit the jackpot and should be counting our lucky stars.

Purdue/Maryland on TSN2 for anyone who wants to check out Caleb Swanigan and Justin Jackson.

Don't get your hopes up. If we keep lowry past the deadline we're probably going to sign him. Which means we have to keep him until December. We'd need both Lowry and DD off the team the whole year(Especially lowry) if we wanted bottom 5.

I've been following this team since the inaugural game. I think I stopped getting my hopes up the day T Mac bolted. Lol. Sad but true.

Caleb is a monster. Really hard to handle and he can hit 3s. Explosive as Marc Gasol and his defense is not that great.

He's a guy that could go anywhere from mid first round to late second round. Really hard to figure where he'd be picked as he has skill, but will struggle defensively at the next level. Okafor was a 2nd overall pick(and is a beast offensively) and there hasn't appeared to be much of a market for him. All these Al Jefferson types are being undervalued right now. The way to still make an impact is to develop an elite post game and be able to pass out of the double team and shoot as well. If you can't defend, you need a hell of a lot of offensive versatility. If you have that, you might fit in a team that has a lot of great defenders to offset one player's weakness on that side of the ball. Swanigan has a chance, but I think he'll be more of an offensive punch off the bench kind of guy. Like Kanter.
