If you don't vote for Russ I will ban you.
PS yes I'm kidding and no I can't tell who votes for who.

Good to see Payne make some shots & the bench in general be pretty good. Russ is still a monster.

Re: PG: Westbrook is the Grizzlies Father | Grizzlies (102) - Thunder (114)
Good performance tonight!
Russ was russ.
Victor didn't have his best game, but he played aggressively.
Steven had a really good game and was a force on the boards.
Collison played good minutes against zach randolph.
The bench was huge tonight. Payne looked better when he doesn't settle for long 3ptrs.
Lauvergne was money from the corner and even had a nice floater.
Morrow got his shot back and did major damage.
Donovan did a good job tonight. I think the key going forward is to shorten the rotation to the guys that played tonight and Abrines when he returns. Singler and Semaj should not see the floor at all.

I'd love to see more nick. Just because I always love to see more nick.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Re: PG: Westbrook is the Grizzlies Father | Grizzlies (102) - Thunder (114)
Just got done watching the first half, I don't think anybody mentioned it but that was the best half of defense I remember seeing from cam. Conley only got free twice and cam caught up to contest one of the layups (Conley missed and grizzly announcers cried). Nothing flashy, just did a good job recovering over screens and keeping Conley out of the paint.
Side note: kinda disappointed by Dipo's defense. If he's not going to be more than a 3 and d guy then he needs to be taking the opposing PG the whole time he's on the court with Russ.

Cam played a really good game. I'm back on board w/ him. I'm fickle

What a game. Almost back on team sunshine. We'll see how the Portland game goes.
The Grizzlies btw are the perfect example for narratives influencing refs. It's amazing what they can get away with.

4th quarter was the best basketball I've seen him play. Attacked when we really needed someone to look for their shot, ran the offense when Russ came back, played legitimately good defense against a borderline all-star... If he is this engaged then he's a good player. I don't know if he's scared of mistakes or it's just the injury or because Billy has been playing Enes ball, but he's been so passive on the offensive end that it's worthless having him out there unless he's going to hit threes like morrow. Maybe being without Enes will force him out of that comfort zone and he can get back to being the attacking guard he was at Murray state.
There's also the chance he just got up for a game against his hometown team too though.

Should've heard their announcers, it was like we were literally murdering their players without getting called.

Somebody needs to let nick know he's practically geriatric. You can't be diving for loose balls like that old man, the hips aren't gonna take it. I say we all pitch in and get him a life alert.

Cam definitely played better, especially on the defensive end. I hope he keeps it up because we need his trade value maximized right now.

It's a catch-22. If he plays THIS well then he's a player we really need and trading him is just going to open one hole while closing another, and if he doesn't play this well then he's worthless in a trade.
If he does keep building off this then the bench offense is going to be a lot better when Enes comes back.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The 'Dump ball into Kanter' offense has hurt the rest of the team. Kanter is getting buckets that way, but the rest of the team suffers for it.
Let's hope Cam can get back on track and stops challenging Christon for worst PG of the league.

I don't think it has hurt the team at all, I think it's been necessary. Abrines and cam are the only two bench players with any offensive ability, cam missed three months and abrines is best as a catch and shoot player. Cam is really the only one it could've held back and he looked like trash without Enes until last night.

Morrow with the headband got me wondering how many guys are still wearing them? I know IT does, melo, z-Bo, ty Lawson... There really aren't a lot of guys left.

It hurt them because it prevented them from actually developing an offensive identity. I know that they are extremely limited, but they're not 74.3 ORtG without Russ on the floor/94.5 ORtG as a bench bad.
