Well I think its safe to say that Kilpatrick cemented the fact that he should never be the primary ball handler.

Remember the pelicans game? He's already cemented that fact

If these games weren't meaningless, I'd probably be pissed. Now, I just laugh it off. It's hilarious that this guy either fumbles the ball away or players strip it from him on every other possession.

Kilpatrick got a high centre of gravity, his leg strength isn't sufficient, that's why his ball handling is so turnover prone.
Most NBA stats aren't credible. At most times the people who interprets those data are biased, or the data themselves are flawed. Basketball is just too complicated with so many uncontrollable variables.

Its happening :D Now pray to whichever god you worship that the starting unit of IW, CLV and RHJ plays awesome and we never go back (until Lin returns obviously).

And....they combined for 8 pts, 8 assists. 7 TOs and minus 7,982

Do people think things will turn around once Lin comes back?

Do I get direct credit for the jinx? Have I had my first ever impact on an NBA game?

Not exactly ideal to start for the first time as a professional against Paul George but he held George to 40% shooting. LeVert didn't have a good shooting night but his D is legit.

Depends on what you mean by 'turn around'. We will play better. We will be more competitive. We will win more games, but I wouldnt expect to win more than 1/3 of the games he suits up in (less if we move Lopez and Bogs).

I think we've known this for months. Kilpatrick has just given away so many games when we stupidly put him at PG late in the 4th

The 3 kids had a rough outing, but its all apart of the process. Having LeVert match up versus a top tier player like Paul George is the kind of trial by fire you want for guys like him. He'll bounce back, as well as RHJ/IW.

The sad part is, outside of our rough 1st qtr start, the Nets competed in every qtr after that. Too bad.

Good to see Joe Harris back. He's definitely one of the guys i want on this roster next year.

i think we play more competitive. make more games close. not sure we win much more. we typically lose because our defense is so bad and we turn it over a ton. Unless Lin is going to defend the center spot on pick and rolls i dont think our D is going to improve much.

Lin is our best PG ball handler but he is turnover prone himself.

I think we may win more games after dealing lopez if we get a defender back for him... i mean we still will lose a ton but i think our chances of winning go up. we stills core fine without brook. throw in some D and we can steal some wins

My thoughts...

-Joe Harris looked good. great to have him back in the lineup. he does everything well. not great but one of our few guys who is solid at eveything and is always in the right spots. good to see his jumper falling

-Great gutty job by this team to get back in this game late after being down almost 20 points. could have easily folded. great minutes by booker and Acy.

-Bench played well. booker unphased by benching. testament to Kenny. guys play hard for that dude despite an awful year and him doing what he can to get all 15 guys their chances in the rotation

-horrific start by IW/RHJ/Levert.... but its good to get them time together. i think that unti will fare better vs other teams... pacers were still much more athletic 1-3 then us

-Lopez played well. but i would have loved to have seen him come out and grab 15 or 20 rebounds. pick up some offensive fouls being overly aggressive.

you lose to the knicks and get crushed on the boards you dont follow that up with 6 rebounds. buck williams pulls down 20-25 in that same situation. thats the thing that is missing from brook. that competitiveness

Lin is TO prone but tends to be less so when it matters. However, I think his returning makes a big difference in that it gives two attackers, two ball handlers, and two guys with vision that can make plays in Lin and LeVert. LeVert tries to involve others, but simply, they aren't good enough. Lin and LeVert will just have to go 2-man game and dish to wide open players, and hopefully set Brook up and hope he doesn't fumble the ball away or try forced shots when baskets are needed, especially late game situations.

Defensively, it helps as well, but that's a bigger problem. The best defensive closing lineup would have to omit Lopez, but he's needed for offense.

I think Skil can't close because he's really TO prone while guys like Lin and LeVert would be less TO prone, and more likely to draw fouls as well. RHJ, when playing within himself, an be a big asset, as long as he doesn't try to force things late. He has to be in the closing lineup. I guess there has to be flexibility and matchup considerations where Acy may close some games too, especially because he provides some rebounding tenacity.

I dont disagree with any of that. i just dont think it adds much more by way of wins.
