That quote from brook pisses me off. as a season ticket or partial season ticket holder for my entire life, and having seen him live over a hundred times, he is the LAST person who should be calling out anyone about effort or being ready to play. I've seen him not ready to go in playoff games. hell game 7 vs the bulls he slept walked the entire first quarter as noah got 5 offensive rebounds or something like that in the quarter alone.

He is constantly disappearing. he plays with little to no passions and competitiveness. Look im not going to blame lopez for the loss at all, but if he is going to say something like that he can really STFU and GTFO of here

It needed to be said, but I agree with you 100%. He should be the last one to say this.

Problem is, on this team, no one else has the clout to say this. Lin if healthy would have the clout but he can't call guys out while wearing a sports jacket and jeans.

Veteran leadership does matter, just depends on whether said veteran practices what he preaches. Lopez does not on a consistent basis.

If he says nothing, then you guys would jump on him for "not being a leader, he doesn't care enough" etc. It's a no-win situation. So what do you want him to say? He played fine yesterday, and there were long periods of game time where he was on the floor but his teammates kept making stupid plays over and over again.

I commend those of you guys who are watching and going to games this year. I've only ever been able to watch a quarter or so of a game here and there. I've been considering cutting cable for a while, and one big reason to keep it is YES.... but I guess I should feel comfortable now if I want to do that.

he never said anything in the past and no one ever got on him then.

its just a bad look when guy who for 8 or 9 years has constantly played with little passion, had long stretches of lackadaisical play, and who has never had the competitive edge to take his game to the next level calls someone else out.

there is no catch 22. he needs to shut up and do his own part. he is certainly part of the problem.
