He definitely deserved it as he's one of the best unaffiliated players in the D-League and is an NBA caliber bench player. He's been playing near 38mpg in Grand Rapids, it will be interesting to see where those minutes go -maybe Gbinije could get his work in there. The plan was to make him a point guard before he got hurt in summer. If that's been permanently scrapped and he's a 2/3 he's a wasted pick and wasted roster spot.
