Not saying I agree with the call, but it wasn't on Harden laying on him to get a call, it was his other hand hooking Harden into place. Just clarifying what the call was, it was technically right but weak, Harden fouled by laying on him after MCW fouled by 'clamping' Harden.

If you look closely, you can also see Harden's left hand grabbing a handful of MCW's jersey right before he mounted him. There was just as much if not more contact initiated by Harden than whatever type of "clamping" MCW did.

The ref didn't see that. So moot point.

IT. Boston having a great season.

Have no problem with IT in the MVP conversation. He will always be underestimated because of his size.

I'd give it to Russ because averaging a triple double in today's NBA is nuts. It's insanely hard. Not even prime Lebron did it.

I've seen another one from Harden that is worse than the OP post, same type of move. This is a Harden-go-to flop when he is being denied a cut.

And what are the commentators talking about? Of course, MCW was trying to deny Harden from getting where he wanted to go. Is that not what defense is all about? Besides, MCW was in that spot before Harden got there. Is he supposed to just move out of his way?

So it's a late call. Since the ref called it MCW. A really late call

Ref must miss nothing and just took a while to call it, eyes of an eagle. Besides Harden humping MCW's back. I guess he did ignore that bit.

The foul was putting two hands on an offensive player. It is usually called only on post ups, but because MCW turned around and leaned, putting both hands on Harden, it is a clamp, therefore a foul. Harden Laying on him happened AFTER the foul happened, it is irrelevant, after the play. You guys can be mad at the clamping call, or Harden jumping on someone after on a dead ball (technically live because a late whistle) in an attempt to get a foul, but he was NOT awarded a foul call for it.

Harden a notorious flooper made a good play on defense. Wow. Mind is blown.

If that's the rules, so be it. But sometimes, it should give way to common sense. Harden was literally laying on top of MCW. No feet on the floor. How could that be a foul on MCW instead of Harden.

Furthermore, the foul was called when they were already on the floor. The proximate cause of the same was obviously Harden laying on top of MCW.

It was a late whistle, they are very common when Tony Brothers referees a game. Had MCW not used both hands beforehand, it should have, and likely would have, been an offensive foul on Harden.

Harden actually did stand up for defensive players on this play. You shouldn't let MCW back you up like that.

what's crazy is Harden still gets these calls in his favor, when time and time again he just manipulates the system. The king of unnatural basketball actions.

I'll admit I was wrong at first. Harden defense may have been over exaggerated last year and his offense flopping.

Hard to pick one, but the refs call ha da big impact on a game that was tied in overtime.

That being said, the commentators also implied that Jimmy Butler could not have done better than MCW in the game (in terms of stats). Just shows you how little they know about Butler.
