Hell yeah, since by definition analogies are meant to equate situations 100%.

Its right there in the dictionary. 8-)

An analogy is a comparison. And since you are saying "that's like saying" and comparing the two situations you're saying they should be treated the same, or it would be the same, and therefore the same

In other words, you're saying maliciously biting someone is ANALOG to flopping, which is silly.

Then you completely missed the point. Which is that it couldn't have been anyone else, because they are the only players who habitually engage in the behavior discussed.

This thread wouldn't exist if it wasn't Harden, because other players wouldn't have done it.

Get it?

Harden is the only player that habitually flops. Got it. Guys flop off the ball all the time. Since the beginning of basketball, there have been guys flopping when their progress is stopped. Have you never seen someone cutting through the lane, getting a nudge, and flailing to the ground off ball? Because if not, you haven't watched much basketball. Flopping is something every player does. Biting is not. That's an awful 'analogy'

Because a lot of people don't like Melo, so they're predisposed to point these things out and make fun of said player.

But if it were Justin Holiday who the hell would care?! It's fake outrage.

Nah, any supposed MVP that has such an embarrassing clip is automatically disqualified if you ask me.

If it was Justin Holiday they would had called a foul for dry humping & I wouldn't had posted it.

Lots of players flop. The particular things Harden does seem to be particular to him. Like the death gripping of people's arms on a regular basis. And the laying on top of their bodies. Just to name two.

This specific play probably wouldn't have happened with another player, because this specific play required a unique level of ref baiting tomfoolery that only Harden has reached. Understand? As you seem to be the only one (aside from other Rox fans, shocker) ITT who can't seem to grasp that concept, I'll leave you guys to celebrate together in your denial. Hugs all around, I'm sure.

Enjoy the rest of the game night.

The. Foul. Occurred. Before. The. Jump.

Also, if people were upset about Melo doing it, you would think it was unfair, judging by what you've said.

He started humping him about the 6 second mark & the whistle came about the 8 second mark. I just hope he had
it wrappedrapped up because I bet there is to many unwanted NBA pregnancy.

Whistles were extremely late the entire game. I'm sure you've seen thousands of late whistles. They happen. You know they do. Refs are not robots. It was also Tony Brothers. I also don't even agree with the clamping call! I'm just explaining that that was where the foul was, not where people are saying it was

So, there was no foul, and Harden exaggerated contact and committed a flagrant foul.

Glad we're all on the same page, after 7 of them.

Yeah, I just don't get all the outrage, that's what I'm arguing agaisnt. You would think Harden punted a baby lol flopping happens. This was a poorly refed game, Harden got away with one, it happens. He isn't Satan himself here to defile the sacred game of basketball, I promise everyone.

Also trying to explain to people that he WAS NOT rewarded for the flop onto MCWs back

But apparently that makes me **** stupid

I am so tired of Flopden that I have only one word left to say about his behaviour: Disgusting.
If you're asking me who the Mavs best player is, I'd say Luka. A guy like Delon Wright probably rivals his impact though at this stage in his career. KP may as well if he gets his **** together.

People are gonna hate me for this, but I think this play alone should disbar him from being MVP. It's an embarassment if an NBA MVP has this on his highlight reel on his MVP season.

I completely disagree that the thread wouldn't exist if someone else did it. Imagine the hate if Kevin Durant did this crap. You'd have way more posts hating him. If Lebron did it you'd have 40 pages of posts questioning his legacy. lol.

Simple as that.

And for those who want to extend the definition to include any exaggeration of a lesser event then this whole entire thread is one big flop.

Ok, how would you label that dramatic display from Mr. Harden? Just to make you comfortable in the future.

And making it sound like overreaction from one single play is just disingenuous.

Why would you think they called that supposed foul, when the whistle came long after that? A much more likely assumption is that the refs bought Harden's trick.

This is not a flop, it's deception of the ref, and probably an unsportsmanlike play, but not a flop.
