Good stuff somehow winning a game they missed 16 layups & shot 9% from 3 in the first half in.

First game this season after getting outscored by 10 or more in the 2nd quarter of a game.

Good win!
If Victor can play like this more often, he will be well worth his extension. Voted for him as player of the game because while Russ should win every game, but I love when people step up.
Andre had a really great game as well. Portland is one of jis better matchups since there are two perimeter threats for him to lock in on, and the other starters for Portland aren't dangerous on offense.

Lots of good things to take away from the game except ...the announcers mentioned the 2nd 3ptr the team hit was 2 minutes into the fourth quarter. That's crazy. That can't just happen on a consistent basis.

I wasn't able to watch this one cause I was coaching, but watching the highlights back it looks like a good one.

Looks like cam just got up for Memphis.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Roberson attacking the rim is the best thing that can happen with this roster. He was fearless tonight and he should continue to do it.

He won't become a great 3pt shooter so he needs to take advantage of his length and athleticism and attack the rim like he did tonight.

Dipo in the 4th:

3/4 from the field
1/1 from 3
3/4 from the line
2 rebounds
1 assist
10 minutes
+46 NetRtG (highest on the team)

More of this please.

I chose Oladipo just for his effort to do something more.

Maybe at first Oladipo was thinking "OK let's no rush things and try to ease into the system on this team". Maybe he thought this was a full pick&roll/pick&pop team with Adams+Kanter and deferring to them too much. Now with Kanter out after 3 games that offense sucked he thought "OK that's not a pick&roll team anymore I should be the hero".

Just be warned that he tried this before in Orlando and he sucked, let's just hope he improved on every facet of his game so he won't suck again.

He wasn't trying to be a hero in your 'Win by me or die by me' sense. It felt more like he had enough and decided 'I got your back guys'. That's the Oladipo I wanted to see and that's the Oladipo we need.

Oladipo realised at the beginning of the 4th that his passing game was terrible last night (3 turnovers in a row to end the third quarter) and said "Screw it, I am shooting it myself on the next trips, nobody else can make a shot tonight anyway when Russ is on the bench". Turned out that was a good call, but I am not sure it will work that well in most games.
