Denzel and Colin Farrell have signed on for Dan Gilroy's next film. I'm in.

I thought it was pretty good in the beginning but my interest faded as the season went on.

Yeah, same here. I actually would have been fine if they just ended the series there. Those kids are going to get real annoying, real fast.

Is Stranger Things a series targeted for adults? Adolescents? Kids? I just can't imagine myself getting into a show where all of the main characters are kids. Which is what it is, right?

I haven't seen it yet but it seems more in the vein of Stephen King stories like "Stand By Me" or "IT"

Anyone watch the new 24 last night? I was a 24 guy from the beginning but I'm skeptical whether to watch it without Jack. As of now I'm DVRing and then waiting to hear feedback or reviews on whether to spend the time.

Its for adults. Targeted toward the ET generation. Tons of 80s nostalgia.

It's classic 24. Shaky cam, digital clock ticking, unusual torture, etc.

Love Taboo. One of the best shows on TV right now. Tom Hardy owns the hell out of his character, like always. Can't wait to see where it goes.

I watched the first ten minutes of the Black Sails pilot and decided it wasn't for me. Seems low quality, low budget, etc. To each their own of course.

My daughter is in middle school and she loves it as well so do all her friends, it hits both groups but I'd say the 80s generation get it a little more.

So i tried Sneaky Pete after great reviews on IMD and a few posters here.

I'm five episodes in and debating whether i should finish the season and then watch season two when it comes out.

The premise of the show is interesting and Giovanni Ribisi is good in his role, but the writing/plot so far is really lacking to me. To many things happen which either makes no sense or seriously stretch credibility. It kinda feels like i'm watching a TV series version of the movie Rounders with Worm/Ed Norton as the main character, minus the great writing.

For those who have seen the show, does it get better the second half of the first season?

I tried Taboo and seems like it could be good. Tom Hardy is a great actor. My issue was getting tired of having to rewind so much because i couldn't understand what any number of characters was saying.

Subtitles! I had the same problem but subtitles are huge in shows like this.

Its just a great sci-fi show and the kids are actually pretty great actors too, which is refreshing. I heard decent things and ended up finishing it in 2 days.

I definitely think it gets better the longer it goes and the more the stakes are raised for literally every single character.

But you're dead on with the Rounders thing. That's an obvious influence here, along with classic heist/scam films I won't mention.

To be honest, I barely remember the first half of the season. I only really remember the last three or so. It ends with a bang.

RS is spot on. Sneaky Pete's episodes are getting better by the episode, especially after bout the fifth.

Also lol here.

I thought the same, especially a specific old heist/scam film came to mind.
