Alouuuuuu, Breaking News

Post#1 » by Jose7 » Mon Jul 16, 2007 9:08 pm

From Metsblog:

"03:50 PM - News: Alou Plays Rehab Game

...posted by D.J. Short...
Mets OF Moises Alou was the DH for the GCL Mets in a rehab game this afternoon, going 2-for-3 including a solo home run, a single and a walk.

actually, the word from florida is that alou is essentially major-league ready, and after having visited a variety of specialists, while taking his time to rehab correctly, he feels great and is confident he will suffer no other set backs this season"

We need him desprately.

it's simple but i'm not sure if willie will fly with it.

Have lastings and shawn platoon.

Shawn Green is god-AWFUL vs lefties.

he as 1 home run, 8 rbi's, and is batting .207 vs lefties.

this year milledge is batting .400 (althugh a small sample. he's not doing great vs RHP).

it'd be a smart idea because it gives green a break, milledge playing time, and both playing to their strengths. although it'd be "unbalanced" it really isn't. since a LHP is pitching, you want more RHP then LHP's.
