I wasn't reading as the game was going on, but this thread seems to have died a horrible death when we got up big and there wasn't much to complain about.

no one, that's why the thread died when we started blowing out the sixers.

Because win against one of the worst teams without his absolutely best player by far is something we MUST to do. We can't extract any legit conclusion from this game. Anyway, there's something true in WE (and I include myself here) often complain too much about bad things on this team but we don't look enough to the positive aspects of our games. But since we have more losses than wins, I think is fair to stay a little bit more negative than positive.

Of course there's things to extract from the game. Not necessarily the fact that we won, but individual things such as Marcus' continued rebounding and Stanley's activity level and confidence being at an all time high for this season. Also Stanley being around them boards and coming up with loose balls are things that are happening that wasn't while we were in the complete tailspin. There's some positives to actually discuss, if someone actually wants to focus on it.

This is a dismal game thread. Now we're debating whether Piston fans should enjoy a win? Every caveat and disclaimer on this victory is legit, but this is a Piston fan site? At some point you have to get over your grieving for this season's high expectations and try to enjoy seeing if they can salvage something. Team isn't even out of the playoffs yet? ;-)

Point is: what would give us another first round sweep against Cavs?

The goal absolutely has to be the 7th seed, I believe the Bulls have a difficult schedule the rest of the way so that's a big plus. We have a very legitimate chance to beat any of those other teams in a series right now and that's not taking into account if we actually start to click.

Yea even Boston who's been on fire lately, we somehow always seem to play them close

If a team figures out how to shut down IT after two games the Celtics aren't winning a series.

??

brings defense and is 3 point threat, alot of what we are missing

31% on 6 attempts a game... no thanks.

The last thing the Pistons need is another 3P shooter who can't make threes at league average.

not sure what happened this year but he shot 37 and 35% the last two years on high volume, i wouldn't turn him away just because of one year

Covington shot selection is awful, like KCP was last year, but when he's open he's really a threat

FG% and 3pt% are both trending down since the '14-15' season. I don't care for the guy. Once a player gets on my bad side, it's hard for me to change my opinion. I believe that he 'thinks' he's a shooter. FG% says otherwise. One type of player I tend to dismiss early in their careers are guys who never met a shot they didn't like, even though they find much more rim than net.
