What has Phil proven? That he may have hit on 1 draft pick also?

Nothing that Phil has done has made us look worse than we already did. No one was saying "wow those Knicks sure have a great future". It was more like "Knicks are trash and no one wants to play with Melo".

It does. Cause when Players see what going on with Knicks for the New Generation they will fall back. People fail to realize that there is always a new generation, and to young players the Knicks look like toxic **** and they are watching what Phil is doing with carmelo. They are watching the booing etc. I bet any kind of money that Philly becomes a more attractive destination than we do after this fiasco that prob going to get even UGLIER.

As opposed to the time before Phil when we fired a hall of fame coach and tried not to pay him? Or even after isaiah and his clown antics when we invited Lin to test the market and when he did, we blasted him in the press? This organization has pretty much been stuck in clown mode.
The only thing we had going for us was that we're "the mecca" and even that's not the case anymore.

We into 17 years of being trash. Its Clown mode is the highest its ever been, cause if dudes like Phil Jackson becomes part of the circus..... then its deeper than its ever been.

The irony in Phil being a zen master, meditation enthusiast, yet having the largest ego known to man. I can't believe I read his book.

or perhaps Melo has regressed and his shortcoming are more glaring...

Melo is one player. ONE. THE TEAM SUCKS. THE ENTIRE TEAM SUCKS!
That's one the people who put the team together.

Yes, he is one player, but in the NBA, one single player is more valuable to his team than in any other sport. One player (obviously he can't be playing with all D-Leaguers) can take a team far. Melo has not proven he can be the guy, he just can't be the best player on a title team, and I like Melo. I would rather be "a joke" now with this non circus circus (people have such short memories of the Isiah and Layden years), while rooting for KP and WHG and getting excited about this draft than go back to absolute mediocrity pre-Phil with Melo as the guy, again, getting knocked out of the 1st round.

Players and agents didn't want to go to Philly because they knew it was going to be a rebuilding process, and they didn't want to spend a lot of money.

The front office wanted Hinkie to gather assets. They knew they were going to suck for a few years. They were looking for a future to invest in. Though extreme, Hinkie provided that future. When he resigned, Colangelo sped it up.

The only thing buying Hinkie time in Philly is the Trust the Process buzz. Just like the Linsanity stuff we had in NY. Wait until that dies down and the Sixers continue to suck, they won't be trusting the process too long over there if they don't actually start having winning seasons.

Adding to the cancer doesn't help. I don't get why you or anyone would be praising or be even OK with his behavior. Your hate for Melo and desire to have him off your team has clouded your judgement that much?? Phil and the Knicks are the laughing stock of the NBA right now. Bravo....Phil the ZEN Master

While I'm in agreement with his thoughts on Melo, the way he's botched this entire process shows a lack of executive experience. Uriji would never pull this stunt. If he didn't like Melo, he should've moved him last off-season where he was coming off a great year

I'm not surprised. Meditation makes you relaxed enough to "speak your mind." Seriously, I've read about it.

3rd pick, put them in a position to draft them, and his stock was slipping because of the injury. Also netted them Simmons. Saric is a nice piece.

Exactly I agree with most of what Phil is saying I am not disagreeing with most of his message. He is the President of the Knicks act like it. I am tired of his clown show. Wait until after you trade Melo and then unload on him. No need to do it while you are trying to trade him. It is a very bad look for Phil and the Knicks.

Stop exaggerating. Knicks are in the best position that they've been in in years.(sadly) Whether it was intentional or not, the Knicks have KP, WH, and are set to have a Top 10 pick in the draft.

FOH. With exaggeration. The Knicks best position still looks like ****. Again this franchise has fallen are hard times and has no aura unless the player is older. When i was a kid the Clippers were looked at like the worst franchise in the NBA. Well to the Kids of today. THATS THE KNICKS.

Nope. The Kings are worse than us. The Nets are worse than us. Philly is finally coming around but they have been the laughing stock of the league the last couple of years. The Lakers have been worse than us. What about Orlando? For as bad as the Knicks are..the Wolves are worse than us even though they have a "great" head coach and the greatest player of all time Karl Anthony Towns. What about the "rescue Anthony Davis" thing in the beginning of the season. You sure sound like Stephen A. with your exaggerations. You sure you're not him?

and Baker(so far he's looked like a decent/good backup)

and this without picks due to (mostly) the last GMs actions and not his own.

In the 90's we were a proud franchise. But in the 2000's we have been a joke throughout....it was even more of a circus back then when we had $120mil payroll, no pick, bottom 5 team, lawsuits, GMs forced to coach, star pg eating petroleum jelly.

Edit: not to defend Phil. He has brouight this on himself. He should not be talking like this and is keeping the circus going

yeah, but guess what. Players stick with Players. When Fracnhises start doing this to players it becomes much different. There is no way we can fully ignore that players are for the most part will be siding with Melo on how he being "treated" by Phil. Not to Mention him Beefing with Lebron. This Franchise looks like **** to the young cats coming up more than its ever been and Phil has a lot to do with it.
