Actually Brooklyn has 17 of those type losses this year. We are almost as bad as them. Pathetic.

Right now NBAdraft.net has that as Jayson Tatum. For me this is in the realm of a 4th starter or a marginal starter. Trading an above-average starter in Vučević for a rookie that projects to be considerably average in expectation makes no sense. It also breaks the rule of trading a tall player for a shorter one.

If the Magic want to trade Vučević, why not gamble on Cousins? At least that is a bold move, and not a trade that will not improve the team.

We got Philly, Dallas and Miami next. Very crucial games. I'm a fair guy. I understand that its asking a lot to lose all 3 of these games. (That would be great though) If we lose 2 outta 3 I'm happy. I figure we beat Philly but we gotta lose the next 2. If we follow the logic of lose the ones we are supposed to lose and split the ones where we have a shot to win we should be ok in the 2nd half of the year. I fear that we go on some weird winning streak like we did last year. Im just hoping that does not happen.

At this point I wonder if Jacque Vaughn would be doing any worse with this squad...

Big scouting game tonite. We have NC State going at FSU. Gonna be a good matchup to watch Smith Jr and Isaac go at it. I have a feeling Smith Jr will have the better game since NC State isnt that good and Isaac wont be as involved with FSU being so stacked.

Don't worry. New Orleans would never trade their unprotected 2017 first for Vuc anyway lol. The fact that one of our fans wouldn't accept that is incredible.

What's the most we can win to get top 5? I'm thinking 27 wins is a push to get a top 5 pick? I see us getting 5-7 wins depending on what trade we make.

Looks like Lakers have also embraced the tank. They are already starting Ingram full time at SF despite being one of the worse defensive SF in the NBA. So letting your three young guys deangelo, Randle, and Ingram go out there and just play while getting experience and building chemistry all while sucking enough to get another top pick. Must be nice to have management who invests in their youths success.

27 wins would get us into the top 3. There is a ton of parity this year. Fivethirtyeight has 6 or so teams expected to win 31-33 games. The lakers, sixers, and suns are expected to win 28 with Brooklyn expected to win 16. If Embid gets healthy again I could see both the sixers and suns finishing with better records than us.

I cant believe how much the lakers suck. After such a hot start and then they turned 180 and suck it up even more then us.

Im sticking to my prediction and say we finish with the 5th worse record. Nets are on another tank level. Suns and Lakers are in the same place where they chuck up alot of shots but play no defense. Then you have Philly that is back to being HInkie Philly without Embiid. Idk if they will bring Simmons back this year. Their already two games ahead of us in the tank race and have some tough games coming up.

I think we will finish with the 5th best odds and pray that the baskeball gods line up the planets for us this year.

The Lakers were just overachieving at the start of the season. Even Luke Walton admitted it.
