Sure, there are examples of starter, even star level players with that combination. But, it's rare. He's fighthing uphill from day 1. I think we'd all love for Yabs to beat the odds and be a major contributor and are hoping for it. But, we aren't counting on that coming to fruition, esp in his rookie year, and would consider moving him in the right deal. Seems pretty level-headed.

In no way am I saying he is going to be a star or even a starter in the NBA. But I am very confident that he is going to be a successful player in the NBA on a roster, hopefully ours. I would play him on our roster instead of Mickey, Green or maybe even Jerebko who could be worth something in a trade.

He's not going to play at all here until he improves significantly on the defensive end. It's not due to lack to effort but more due to lack of experience. Team defensive concepts at an NBA level are alien to him. We saw it in the summer league when he was over here. How to defend the pick and roll, when to switch, where to rotate. He and Bentil were woeful. Hopefully he can figure it out or he's going to be another Brandon Bass but I see this kids ceiling as a role player

Homer and I have definitely had our disagreements in regard to talent evaluation but I don't see anything wrong with his stance or his logic. Especially the commentary on the likely huge adjustment Yabusele faces in learning actual NBA defensive concepts. If he becomes a decent backup big I will call it a win. I don't think anyone can say for certain one way or the other whether or not he will bust or not. Offensively, I think he can do a number of things that fit well in our offense. But as Homer said, defensively, I suspect he has a ways to go and CBS isn't gonna play guys much that can't defend.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

I like Yabs progress, but I kind of hope we stash him again...maybe in a better league next year.

Žižić: 14pts, 10rbs, 6/7 for 2, 2/5 ft, 1blck. In 28 mnts. He played against, jan vesely, ekpe udoh, pero antić, luigi datome. And had highest performance Index rating, of 25.

These are decent guys to play against. Looking nice. I wouldn't think about bringing him in earlier this year like I read above, that extra year is really really valuable and our title chances are still pretty slim. He's not gonna be the difference between a title or not. Maybe he can be next year though - if we add some legit players.

This is the same game, right?
A Double-Double is pretty good for 28 mins.

Another good performance by the mighty Yabs.

Tomek Kordylewski: (Yabusele) with 23 points and 12 rebounds in 30 minutes as the Shanghai Sharks won 94-78. Four more to go in CBA regular season.

Bucks board has quite the hard on for Zizic, there are several trades over there where they try to poach Zizic from us. Kid should be borderline untouchable right now IMO unless it's in a package for a star

14 points

He played against one of the best Euroleague teams with a frontcourt with some NBA experienced guys (Ekpe Udoh, Pero Antic, Jan Vesely) and had the best Performance Index Rating of all players. It was a very important win for his team, fighting for the playoffs.

I'm going to catch some D-league action if Yabs ends up over their after his season. Wonder how long Chinese league playoffs last.

He's looking mighty confident rising up off the bounce and just drilling shots right in people's faces.
