It was within the rules of the game. It didn't involve the condoning of assault. It also didn't translate into an allowed behavior off the court. Oakley was being a complete and utter DICK. Beyond being colossally rude, he was assaultive towards security staff. A ticket is a license to be somewhere and subject to conditions. That license is subject to revocation for failing to observe those conditions. What I can't believe is people defending this guy. Even if you don't like Dolan, would you think it okay if Laimbeer attended a Piston game and went out of his way to berate and demean Gores, and then physically resist being shown the door? I object to the idea that boorish behavior is a hallmark of Piston fans.
That's great, but almost every single player is backing Oakley for a reason; he's a true Knicks and has given his all for that franchise. Dolan is an stupid businessman (another one) who only thinks about earn money and doesn't have any ethic code. We have never been in that bad situation, but I would be very proud if a Pistons legend claim in public our owner about to stop to ruin our organization and turn into s**t every single thing he touches.
I think we always have to be on the side of workers, and you can't see what Knicks are doing to Melo. They're disgusting and I'm proud Oakley has made sure to be heard.
But nowadays it's all about being peaceful and politically correct, that's why we have less rights every single day.
