There seems to be a continuing trend with Knicks GMs that they're terrible at making trades and free agent signings, but do a good job at drafting (if they haven't traded away their pick that is).

Very true. Their scouting department is very good and they do a particularly good job in Europe. The biggest problem imo with the trades and signings is that the team is always trying to make steps that as an organization they're not ready to take. Trying to grab a star when they're more than a few pieces away. Good news for us is that the team has all of its firsts going forward. Maybe with two very good young players and this hullabaloo surrounding Anthony the buck stops in terms of making hasty trades. We can only hope...

And yeah - Willy is a joy to watch. I love fluid post players.

Willy looks better than many players taken in the lottery. Good trade for the Knicks.

Maybe people who watch OKC can explain me why Domantas Sabonis plays so many minutes?

His stats are pretty horrible, 10.1 points per 36 minutes on 10.1 shot attempts,1 point per shot, terrible. Overall bad percentages all around, no free throws whatsoever, terrible rebounding rates, no shot blocking whatsoever. Statistically he looks like one of the worst players out there.

Fred vanvleet last 2 games averaging 12.5pts/4asts as a backup pg not shooting it well but love his court vision basketball iq and toughness. It's awesome to see players you liked in college suceed in the NBA especially on your favourite team

I don't watch OKC often, but what's their other option at PF? Lauvergne?

Sabonis hustles and is at least an average defender. They probably think it's better than more firepower.

I was shouted down by a few Pels fans earlier in the season for having the temerity to ask whether or not they were happy with Buddy over Murray.

Even if we are to put aside the 3 years age difference - which is a BIG thing to put aside - Murray just looks so much better as a playmaker and as an off-the-dribble scorer. I know the Nuggets are looking to get the 8 seed, but I would not be shocked to see Mudiay moved sooner rather than later, in order to give Murray more opportunities at PG.

I'm a fan of Murray. If it weren't for Embiid, he would probably the ROTY.

What if Embiid ends up playing 40ish or so games, does he still win ROY honors?

Man Ingram is so far from being a productive player. Worst player currently in the NBA that gets minutes.

Buddy looking very good tonight with 17 points and showing glimpses that he could actually be a star in this league

Next year will be huge for him

This is just the strangest rookie class. The ROY is a player that's already into his third season at 22, the second best is a 22 year old Euro that has three years of professional ball under his belt, and the third best is a 24 year old drafted in the second round. Hopefully one of Murray/Brown/Chriss can have a good second half and put a little shine to the one and dones of this year.

Oh I agree. I never thought he would have an instant impact. But also didnt expect him to be the worst player in the NBA either. Really rough year for him so far. But ya he still has potential, but I do think it maybe limited because of how slow he is.

Unless Malone changes the way he is using Murray, Murray will not be breaking out anytime soon. Murray is a scoring PG, who has his coach playing him off the ball and letting guys like Nelson and Barton taking turns jacking up shots while Murray is begging for touches.

Zubac since he got called from D league and started geting some minutes

14 games 7,9pts, 5,2rb, 1,3bl, in just 16,3 min. Not bad for 7'1 19 year old center

ugly rookie class this season but not because of talent. It's just a very young class. Dong a redraft in a few years will show how strong it is. Among the best classes of the last decade. What's crazy is that the next few classes should all be better. There is an insane amount of talent coming into the league. The NBA is going to be just fine once Lebron, KD, etc move on.
