If we are trading Bradley (which I am not averse too & wouldn't be surprised to see Ainge move if we can get a frontcourt player who provides value) I can't see Ainge moving him until we know where we are picking in the Draft. I think Draft Day this year will finally provide those fireworks Wyc promised a couple years ago.
This is hardly even fair, the rest of the league is playing checkers and Danny Ainge is playing 12-dimensional chess.

I feel like Marcus is the guard version of Perk. Glue guy, does things that don't show up in a box score, not that good offensively but his teammates still love him.

Nah he's much more impactful than Perk.

Perk was pretty much useless offensively. Smart is at least turning into a really solid playmaker and can hit some big threes here and there.

And nobody loves him more than Brad I think. He gives Marcus a lot of minutes off the bench and the unique thing about it is he can substitute almost any player, no matter what the position is, for Smart. You would often see Smart play 10 minutes straight in crucial moments, I'm talking about the middle of the third to the middle of the 4th till Brad gives him a breather for only 2 minutes then plays the final important 4 minutes of the game. Even when Smart is struggling badly with his shot, Stevens still plays him because he knows he does so many things without having to score. Guy just makes winning plays.

I'd rather have him guard PFs than Crowder in many cases.

According to Draft Express, they have the same wingspan and standing reach. I expect him to have less length because he's a guard, but he's got small forward size.

Crowder's standing reach measurement is something I've questioned and doubt is accurate. Even giving Jae a few more inches, they both can be shot over by 90%+ of the PFs in the league, but Marcus is harder to move and he's constantly trying to just rip that ball whenever they show it to him. Most big men, even in the NBA, don't swing the ball high when they face up. It plays well for Marcus with his quick hands. I first started on the kick when Randolph was going off against us in the Memphis game.

I'm excited that it looks like they told him to not shoot so many threes. He's been great lately.

Marcus is a good dude. I know fans of other teams may hate him because he flops or he plays too physical on the court but he's genuinely a nice guy. Hardly gets any techs and usually its the other players that end up doing something dirty towards him. Off the court, he's been great, especially towards kids, and does a lot of charity work. Keep it up Marcus! :)

He's been our 2nd best 3-point shooter, %-wise the past 9 games -- 12/32 from 3 (40.6%) behind... Amir hehe.

If he plays like he did last night. And has for the past 10 games and at other points this season, guy can be a star.

He has a nice looking jumper, but he is more a 20 feet and in guy. He is so strong, he needs to attack the hoop. If he can shoot 41% from the floor over a full season, you got a hell of a player on your hands.

About time. I get the 3 ball is a big part of our offense but not everybody needs to put up 6 attempts / 36 minutes. Gotta play to players strengths.

I hope we try and extend Smart like we did with Rondo this offseason.

If we can get him for 12-15 mil per in this new CBA. That's a solid deal for us.

That's great. I hope he continues with the much fewer attempts. If the u likely hPpened and he became a good shooter from 3 I'd be ecstatic. But I think that's not realistic . Love to be proven wrong though!
I'd be thrilled to eat my words. Either way. Dude has been playing well. He's been looking like a really, good six man right now. Love him at backup point. I have a ton of respect for the strides he has made with his handle .
That's boring and kind of back breaking work to develop a better handle.

.255
.272
.376
.374
.362
