I think its asking alot for us to catch the Lakers or Suns. I want to aim high but I want to be realistic too. There no reason we shouldn't be able to get the number 4 spot and hold on to it. If we get any higher than that then that will surpassed my expectations.

Right now we have the 5th best chance and that is where Im predicting we stay. We MIGHT pass Philly if Embiid returns soon and SImmons make his debut. Regardless, having a top 5 pick this draft is HUGE for us. That means we will come out the draft with either Ball, Smith Jr, Jackson or Isaac. Any one of those guys in a magic jersey will make up for this disastrous season.

If we are 5th best lotto odds doesn't that mean we actually have a better chance at picking 6th the way the lotto plays out?

that's the bad part , we can still get screwed out of a top 5 pick

Yeah if we are truly tanking we should be aiming for at least the 4th spot to give us the best chance at the best 5 guys.

I really don't think the cutoff is at five. There will be some intriguing options wherever we pick. It's on Hennigan to get this one right. If we did get bounced down a spot, that would mean someone below us jumped into the top three, which would increase our chances of getting that 2019 Lakers pick.

Maybe. I was expecting a win vs the Sixers but we got it done. We should absolutely lose to the red hot heat on Monday. So losing 2 out of these 3 vs lottery teams isn't a bad stretch. Of course it be nice to go 0-3 so I'm hopefully for a lose tonight. I'm watching Thunder Warriors tonight so I won't have to sweat it out. Ill keep my eye on the score though.

Dallas has a very good chance of beating us. They have played much better as of late and have found themselves not too far back from the 8th spot in the West. They also have Dirk back and Rick Carlisle will just run zone on us anyways and dare us to beat them from the outside. Have faith.

The FO has become pro tank imo. We are starting Watson and Mario again. Say what you want but we are a better team with EP and Green starting then Watson and Marios current mistakes. If we were trying to win, Green would be defending Barnes and EP on Curry(who has been playing well)

We have embraced the tank. Im expecting a big L tonite too. Would love to see a big bounce back game from Mario instead of Pooper Fournier taking 20+ shots.

We have to be the dumbest tanking team of all time if we play CJ Watson down the stretch. The purpose isn't to get the vets meaningful minutes (I get what you were saying though).

Eh... I'd imagine the goal is to get someone to offer us a top-55 protected pick for Watson so that we don't have to buy him out in the summer.

That'd be great. But I don't know with Vogel anymore. Hoping you are right and we don't have to watch a Watson jump shot or Jeff Green on defense ever again after 2/23.

Its the only logical reason I can think of. There is no other way to explain starting CJ freaking Watson over the guy who has been our PG for the past two years. Its a tank move but I know its affecting EP. He is pissed and for good reason. Unless Mario and AG turn out to be all-stars, I have to say that the Vogel/Forcier player developement process is not what was advertised.

Yup. Both were MUCH better last year. At least Elfrid is having the best stretch of his career. Or at least was before we changed our starting pg from Elf to DNP most of the year Watson.

Both our BK games are in the last week or so of the season... Hopefully we're evaluating Mario and Wilcox heavily at that point!

Never been happier to be wrong (well I probably have e.g. I didn't think we'd think beat Boston on the road in Game 7 in the 09 playoffs...happier times :( )
