They're all great but I do think Denver's got the best support around their guy. NOLA's never healthy and the Kings are the Kings, plus now Gay's out. Gallo's out now but Chandler/Barton are both probably better than anyone on the Kings. I'm not sure who's healthy right now for the Pels though. Also Gentry to me is clearly the worst coach.

I agree Denver has the better team overall, I just don't know that it's so much better that the two guys widely considered the best bigs in the league shouldn't be able to bridge that gap. I really think Jokic might already be the best center in the league. Maybe not on AD's level yet, but I'd already take him over boogie. Fwiw RPM is better than AD and .4 less than Cousins, despite those first 15 games

Yeah, he's got potential to me for sure. I need more a track record first personally, last year I'd have taken KAT over AD, now this year happened. I didn't see Jokic this good even last year when I'd have taken KP but the kid looks amazing.

I just can't be wrong about this, Jokic already has the most beautiful game in the NBA to me. The post game needs a poster child for a comeback and he's the perfect blend of old and new. If he flames out then it's probably the end of the post-up unless there's some rule changes. Embiid might get there some day too, but he's got nothing even close to Jokic's game right now.

Speaking of jokic....
Why does it feel like Portland got the better end of this deal. Nurkic and a first for plumlee. Plumlee isn't that good in a vacuum. Portland has 3 first rounders now. Interesting

This makes me think that 99 % of our trade talk is just moot since GMs clearly value players differently than fans.

Yep 100%. I could have sworn Denver would have been given value for Nurkic, but they gave up a pick for a player that is going to get paid this summer. I guess Denver really thinks Jokic can play PF next to Plumlee. That or Plumlee is going to get traded again.

This is a weird trade for both teams, moreso for Denver of course. Likely sends Portland closer to the lottery, which isn't a bad thing I guess. Having 3 picks in this draft, none of which will be in the range of the loaded portion (top 10), is ok but I just don't see how Portland is really going to get better in the coming years? Dame and CJ as a duo won't ever make serious noise and they got lucky last year the West was ravaged by injuries so they got the 5 seed with 45 wins, then lucky again that the Clippers had their top 2 go out during their series. There won't be cap space unless they use draft picks to dump some of those bad contracts, which a team like the Nets will be trying to pull off I'm sure.

Seems like a steep price for the Nuggets to get a quality backup center, but maybe they feel that Plumlee can guard PFs on D and play the 5 on O - similar to how we use Adams and Kanter, except Jokic/Plumlee is an outstanding passing duo rather than rebounding. Possible that they have so many young assets/picks that they have to just start consolidating them in moves like this? Something we may see Boston do eventually too, if you let all those picks turn into players you won't have room on your roster to even keep them (see: RJ Hunter).

Don't know about adding a first, but it makes a lot of sense to go after plumlee from Denver's side. You get a player that can be the hub of your offense to backup Jokic so you don't have to run two different systems depending on what unit is in. We've seen how difficult that can be to adapt to first hand.

Detroit fans souring on him yet? That dude is similar to Dion in that he thinks he's the best player in the league, but Dion at least has grown up enough to be a good teammate at the same time.

Read their board, it's great. They mostly don't like him either .

Yeesh Raptors. 4-10 in last 14, only played 4 winning teams in that stretch too. Ujiri better make a move ASAP or they'll be facing Cleveland in the second round if they even make it that far.

Also the Heat and Mavs are good examples of how hard it is to tank with great coaches. These guys are working with primarily random scrubs and they'll end up in the late lottery when they have bottom 5 talent.

Not to be a pessimist, but the Kevin love situation looks pretty bad. Not disclosing the MRI is a red flag, but looking for a second opinion is always an indicator. I wonder what the Cavs do if it turns out that love will miss an extended period of time. Even worse if he has surgery.

The world may have actually ended before the next first we can trade conveys.

Here's an article about Detroit that spends much text basically saying Reggie Jackson sucks and no one will trade for him. You're welcome.

I wish boogie would just come right out and say ' thank god I'm out of that **** of am organization. The fans are the greatest, and they deserve so much better.'
