I mean i have Nurkic as being better than Plumlee.....and somehow the Blazers also got a 1st out of it for taking on Nurkic, while Plumlee is an expiring and also get a Blazers 2nd.

I was thinking the same thing.. maybe Nurkic wasn't giving the Nuggets much at the moment but really? giving up a first rounder and potentially helping the team in the 9th spot improve in the process? Why not wait til the deadline and see what else might come along?

Why in God's name would you have Nurkic as better than Plumlee?

Exactly. IMO Mason Plumlee is the best player by a mile, he is an special player. He is gonna be paid next summer...but what? The Nuggets can pay him and he deserves a good contract.

Plumlee is putting 11p, 8r, 4a and 1,2 blocks per game with 53% shooting. He is an smart player and works hard on defense.

Those 4 assists per game are amazing, I would love to have him on the Suns to improve our passing and ball movement. Chandler and Len are terrible at that.

Well to start, he is 4 years younger and his PER 36 stats are right there even with Plumlees, and even surpassing him in Points/Rebounds. Also Plumlee is a expiring, so you have to also factor in the cost of re-signing him....when they already have a much much better starting C with Jokic. Honestly kind of a head scratcher for me as to why Denver would make the move.

Yeah I agree. Plumlee's numbers are quite hollow - they're just not winning with him as a starting C and they need interior defense.

I think DEN will put Plumlee in the 2nd unit and play through the post like the first unit does with Jokic?

Nurkic's upside is immense. If he can stay healthy he could be a Gortat-type PT/REB guy with more STL and maybe more points.

With the Blazers looking to get rid of Festus, I wonder what they're willing to pair with him to get rid of his contract?
7.5 mil this season with 1mil guaranteed next year.
Not sure if they're desperate (to save money) but since they now have 3 firsts, maybe they would deal the Memphis one? Highly doubtful but some GM's do whatever they need to to cut salary *cough Kurt Thomas AND 2 firsts for nothing*

^I was going to say we could trade them PJ for that Grizzlies pick. I wonder if they would take it. They definitely need perimeter defense, and just overall toughness.

OR maybe they plan on using Nurkic and or the pick along with other picks go after either Lopez and or Ibaka

I saw the same thing about Ezeli and thought the Suns should get involved with that. Help the Blazers save money and get a first round pick out of them. Doubt it happens

But - trade Knight ; trade Tucker, Trade Chandler

its time to go big because for the 7th straight year, Suns will be staying home

That'd be an excellent deal for the Nets.

Doubt the Blazers are that "stressed" about Ezeli's contract. It's just the rest of the year +1 million. Leonard's is the contract they want/need to unload (tax implications and more). They wouldn't want to take back salary or much so Knight & Chandler would be no-gos.

PJ Tucker (PDX test drives him) for the Memphis #1 and Leonard's 3 year/31 million dollar contract?

A #20-22 Memphis pick plus a future PHX or MIA pick could buy the Suns another high 2017 pick.

Where is RayRay at? I know there's gotta be something juicy out there. It's quiet, a little too quiet.

I just realised Bledsoe is eligible for a max extension next year.

If we draft a PG how do you approach that?

One of the many reasons why he should be traded before the deadline.....

For me it's really the only reason I've been pushing for it for awhile now. I just have no desire to see us enter into another public negotiating battle with Rich Paul. IMO we have no business paying a max deal to a guard with his knees. Let one of the big markets take that risk. And contrary to what other's have suggested, I believe his value is likely to decrease as we approach his deadline. Trade him now if you can find a solid offer and if you can't, approach each successive trade deadline with the same goal.

Why would they want Bledsoe if they are trading Butler? Why would we want Butler if we are trading Bledsoe

You don't think Ball, Booker, Butler, Chriss-Bender would have any future? From a PHX perspective.

Yes, as good as he is, I don't think he is a guy worth $30 million a year that you can lead a team anywhere in the playoffs, even with Josh Jackson.

He is a bit older than what our core is, so we need to cut bait. Maybe not right now, but if there is a good offer we should take it. But almost definitely by next trade deadline, unless we didn't draft a PG.
