Jokic dropped 40. Not Nurkic.

This is the guy who just dropped 40+ on us right? And a first rounder with him? Wtf... we can move our pieces plumlee over rose/Lee/oquinn ? ****

Yessir. Damn good trade for Portland (and I'm a fan of Plumlee). That first round pick is nice and Nurkic has shown he can produce when he's given minutes.

I don't like Denver giving up the first round pick, but Plumlee and Jokic make for a HIGH level passing front court (and I think Plumlee can play next to Jokic, unlike Nurkic who couldn't).

Like I said earlier Nurkic is fat slow and not good and cannot command a first round pick (best a very low first rounder)

I don't think he's bad at all. Part of the reason why he hasn't been good was because he was playing next to another center in Jokic, so one of them was always going to be exploited on defense. If he's able to sit in the paint and simply defend there, he'll be fine. His touch in the paint is solid, but can use a little work there, and he's good at overpowering smaller players in the paint. He's had his minutes jerked around for the last few years and it's damn hard to get into a rhythm when that happens. With more spacing in Portland, it wouldn't surprise me if he's up to 12 and 10 (assuming he gets consistent minutes). He needs to work on his conditioning for sure, but if he can get his endurance up, he'll be fine.

Still think trades including KOQ Jennings Lee should be explored. Our best 3 roster pieces outside KP WHG Melo.

DRose can got for a 2nd / lottery ticket if someone wants his bird rights.

Someone said POR should have 3 1st round picks in this draft including their own.

That's how we should be thinking IMO

A deal id look into his big deal for two smaller crappy deals. Like the equivalent of two LFT deals or maybe something slightly bigger.

A whole lot easier to move one of those and can even consider stretching the other for a smaller hit.

This summer if we stretched Noah, the math is

55,590,000 / 2 x the amount of years left (3) + 1

The cap hit every year would be 7,941,428

I'd do it for the Wolves ,Bazz has been playing pretty well lately but you are probably going to have to pay him enough that it hurts if it is just a mirage. KOQ seems like he would be a good fit coming off the bench

The rumors heard by a media member doesn't mean it can't happen. There are teams out there with guys doing absolutely nothing for them. IE mahimmi Nicholson for Noah saves them some money

I knew they were going to trade Plumlee. Portland can't afford to give fringe starters another payday.

You think the Knicks defense is bad, Portland is worst. It wasn't working with Plumlee, their backcourt has probably the worst defense in the league. Yes, it's worst than Rose. If I'm Portland, I'm looking to trade McCollum + picks for a Jimmy Butler type player.

I would do that in a nanosecond. If we're keeping Melo and it looks like we are, I don't need Rose to be scoring option no.2 next year. I need defense, court vision, run the damn system and make Melo a spot up shooter. Rose is not a good enough passer but Rubio can do wonders for Melo.

If the team stays the same and we draft a PG, anybody thinks Wade will go back to FA and come here? I've heard Melo said that if things were in motion 24 hours before the start of FA, Wade would've been a Knick. Wade will pretty much get the same salary he is getting now at 20 million.

This might be an option if the Knicks decide they don't want to fully rebuild.

Forget Melo. I want to see him next to KP and WHG. Having that vision setting up these studs? yes please!

You really think Melo is going to lift that NTC? I'm already having the mindset that Melo will be here. I would give up a heavily protected first round pick in the future for Rubio. With Rubio and Lee as backcourt tandem, their defense will be top notch around the perimeter.

You're right about Rubio with KP and WHG. Hornaceck would love a guy like rubio who will run up and down the court like how he envision his sytem to work.

I'm not that familiar with Shabazz Muhammed's game. How would you all rate him vs. Justin Holiday? His stats make him look like a better offensive player but a brutal defender. Which makes me not that interested.
