Announcement: Wizards/OKC Joint Game Thread
Hey everyone, I've mentioned it a few times but tomorrow night's game vs. Washington we're trying something a little different. The two teams will share a game thread merged together, from my understanding the topic should show up on both boards, so post as normal. The difference will be the same thread will be on the Wiz board and we'll all be posting in the same thread. Post as normal, nothing else is different. They're a good bunch mostly (looking at you AFM). It will be the battle of Scott Brooks's old team vs his new team, a battle of awful bench play, a battle of injured backup centers, a battle of terrible backup PGs, and the dual between the team cupcake left and the team cupcake wouldn't even visit.
Thunder up!
Thunder up!

Benefit to doing this with our forum is that we spend 90% of our time bashing our own players

“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Imagine that. Sabonis and Vic both missed easy shots at the rim.
Sorry I was jut getting warmed up for tomorrow.

Bill this as the battle between bad benches.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Our (Wizards) horrible bench is because we have one Ernest "freaking" Grunfeld as our GM. You guys have no similar excuse.

Burke, Sato, Nickolson, House all of them shouldn't smell the floor for a minute. You have better bench and this shouldn't been even disscused.
AFM don't say a word about GOAT Jason Smith

It's actually crazy how evenly matched these benches are
Payne v Burke is a slight win for wash
Morrow v Satoransky probably a push
Abrines v Oubre is a win for wash
Grant v Nicholson is a win for OKC
Joffrey v Smith. Is a slight win for OKC
Oubre will be the best player on the court for a portion of the game

Jazz fan, thought I'd jump onto the Burke hate. John Lucas III > Trey Burke. Cool idea for a joint game thread, perhaps you could propose it to the Jazz mods at some point as well.

You gotta look up Payne's stats, he might be the worst PG to have played over 10 mpg this season. I'm not even sure he's been better than semaj christon. If it wasn't for the Cavs game where he shockingly played well I wouldn't think he could even be a starter on a d-league team.

Re: Announcement: Wizards/OKC Joint Game Thread
Anyone that thinks Payne is clearly better than Burke this year hasn't followed what Payne's been doing since he returned from injury.
Payne: (Per-36) 12 PPG, 4 APG, 3 RPG; (Advanced Stats) 40.3% TS, -0.3 VORP, -6.7 BPM, -0.005 WS/48, 6.3 PER
Burke: (Per-36) 14 PPG, 5 APG, 2 RPG (Advanced Stats) 51.6% TS, -0.6 VORP, -6.1 BPM, 0.039 WS/48, 10.7 PER
Payne had a really good stretch last year as a rookie before getting bench. Like a "looks like a future starting PG" good stretch. Don't let that fool you. He's been comically, hilariously, loudly rattle off a stream of obscenities even though your 6 month old daughter is trying to sleep in the next room awful this year.

Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

I thought it was steal by Ernie giving 2nd rounder for Burke. God I was so wrong....
