Patterson/Sullinger/Powell for Serge/Mario is a trade the Magic would do (mainly for Powell). Will TOR?

A signal we don't know how to draft, because after two seasons we trade our #5 pick in 2015 + Ibaka for two fillers and #46 pick in 2015 :banghead:

And I'm not even looking back and considering if we make this trade we would have traded #2, #5, #11 + Ilyasova for #46 pick.

It's always a sad day in sports when someone quotes Magical and actually thinks there's some truth to the rumor LOL.

non lottery picks and guys who are pretty similar to Magic players already (Aminu- Gordon ) , Ezili- Biyombo.
I don't think that there is any team in the league who would took both Ibaka and Vučević because we know for fact that they don't work that well together.

Most have heard about the denver to Portland trade that netted an additional first round pick for the trailblazers. I can't help but think this has to do with a potential deal with Orlando. So my questions for the Magic fans are would you do this deal? And do you think Portland would?

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=j9av5ol
Essentially the deal is the Magic give up Vucevic and Ibaka but get back Aminu, Ezeli, and Ed Davis. Obviously we are taking on players they don't want and bad contracts so they would also give us their first round pick and the Memphis first round pick for 2017. We don't get any young prospects but we get two first round picks.

We would get worse immediately to push the tank further hopefully pushing the Lakers out of the top 3 and with some draft luck we could draft Ball / Monk / Rabb to start the rebuild in full.

No thanks. This is atrocious for Orlando for two non lottery picks.

I think Vucevic alone could net us a 1st and marginal asset, if we're moving a big it should be Biyombo.

Orlando says no and pretty quickly. Don't see why Portland does this with Nurkic as well.

So Mason Plumlee is worth first round pick but idiot couldn't get one for Harris? Oh and in mean time he traded Ilyasova ( same production as Ibaka) , best Magic player in 2015 and lottery pick for one year rental that backfired. Who would ever thought that having PG who can't shoot, along with SF who can't shoot, along with C who hates playing in post and player that declined on defense 3 years ago won't work? Umm pretty much every single person who follows nba but Rob Hennigan.
And there is Biyombo, Magic version of Ašik . 6'9 ( or in Ašiks case 7'1) wood with stone hands , stiff legs and literally not a single basketball skill but to jump in the air when somebody shoots.

The OP's trade is absolutely horrendous. That would set the Magic back at another 5 years for sure, lol.

The Magic is 9M over the cap and cannot simply absorb the contact (without another unrelated trade brining the team below the cap).

I would love to get Portland 17 (#11), Memphis 17 (#21), Vonleh and Crabbe for Ibaka and DJ.

If we are doing a full scale rebuild, taking in crabbe's contract is horrible

Not really. If you are having a full blown rebuild you aren't going to be using that cap space to sign big contracts, so why not use that cap space to take on additional assets? Yeah, Crabbe is overpaid but his deal would be off the books by the time we would need cap space to build around a stud we would hopefully find by then.

Hassan will not be traded unless it's for a massive haul and TJ has the right to refuse any deal. My assumption is he's in no hurry to leave Miami. The only deal i can come up with that coincides with the trade checker and may make sense for both teams and pretty much makes up for the previous trade with OKC with some depreciation is Josh Richardson(Cost controlled young talent in the mold of Oladipo), 2023 top 10 protected 1st rd pick(Sabonis), McBob and Babbit (Ilyasova). FYI Richardson went through a full warm up today so I will be curious to see if we hold out a healthy Richardson with all these trade talks swirling.
