Worse situation: Knicks or Nyets?

Post#1 » by poeman » Mon Feb 13, 2017 9:27 pm

How things have turned...

Sure, the Mecca is superior, we have KP, and our draft picks moving forward...However, Dolan is the worst owner in the game and the UFA's (at least worthwhile ones) will never want to join the Knicks team now.

Nets are full blown trash team, with no 1st round picks, this upcoming draft will be a heartbreaker for them, but they have cap room, Jeremy Lin?, and are still in NYC. Owner is 100x better then Dolan too.

Which franchise has the worse situation moving forward and looks better long term now?

not disrespect but, when you have no draft picks and no money to really sign anyone, it becomes obvious. Even without our drama, they couldn't attract free agents when they did have cap room

After this year, the Nets have their draft picks going forward and a better organization in place. So, them.

They probably trade Brook to a contender to clear more room

Absolutely nothing worthwhile lately, which is better then what the toxic Dolan has been doing to this team.

Knicks organization is getting killed from the ownership side and now on the basketball operations side. They are totally getting ass rammed by everyone.

All the all star caliber players are laughing at us and shaking their heads over the treatment of their boy Carmelo

And after ? Not huge FA will sign in BKN, no draft pick, they need lots of patience and find Young propects later in the draft.

Nets don't even have their pick this year, and I'm pretty sure it's a swap next year. They're in the worst situation for a franchise that I can remember.

They've done a good job finding talent, I must say. LeVert looks like a real glue piece to a roster, Whitehead has shown some flashes especially defensively, and RHJ looks to be a wing stopper in the near future.

Short term: Brooklyn

Long term: Knicks

Reason: the Knicks have James Dolan and the Nets don't. The Nets realized their mistakes and have hired a talented front office and underrated coach to fix their problems. Once they have their picks again they will be in much better position than us moving forward due to competent management.

Prokhorov makes Dolan look good.

At his urging, Billy King made the worst trades in NBA history.

not a Nets for but, Brook deserves to be on a good team. Dude has been a class act through it all. Never heard a single complaint from him, ever.

We have Melo, KP, Hernangomez and all our draft picks and somehow we are comparable to Brooklyn? I don't like Dolan either but let's get serious.

The Nets fuqin blow and have absolutely no vision of the future right now. The fact that you can even think people might rather be the Nets is laughable. Nets are about to overpay a bunch of bums this offseason too. It will be 2 yrs until they are in the draft again. Nets are beyond garbage...by FAR the worst run franchise over the years in the NBA and if you think the Knicks are even remotely in the same boat, youre just a hater.

Knicks bright spot is Porzingis

Brooklyns bright spot is their salary cap room.
