Considering the interest in Bradley and Shanahan just recently working with Quinn I expect Saleh will get a legitimate look at DC but I just can't help feeling he's just to fill the spot for now until Shanahan gets the guy he really wants but couldn't because he was hired so late.

If the Niners go 4-3 does that mean Hope is alive for Jonathan Allen to wreck some offenses for the Niners here in the near future. Teamed on the same side as Buckner they could seriously wreck folks.

OK i'll need some football 101 refresh in regards to the supposed new 43 defense....

I thought someone like Allen could play in it... but Thomas would be a great addition IMO.

Anyone who has watched Allen play knows he will dominate he can eat up blocks, create pressure and outright kill running backs. My concern would be Armstead as the weak link. Allen and Buckner could collapse the left side and terroize anyone in the backfield be it QB RB or God Almighty.

Thats what i see in Allen. Thought he was a beast out there... He got tired(amount of games IMO), perhaps someone who needs some subbing in and out but as he grows, his stamina will be higher n higher etc....

It does open our door for defensive personnel. Allen, imo looks to be great at any 43 defense inside. 34 outside....

If not, Thomas could be a great addition.

Shame with Armstead, i was not a fan of his selection at that point in the draft at all. He kinda turned it around rookie year and we all heard about the great praise in camp etc.... hopefully his injury is subsided and he can play 100%

At first I was thinking we could have our Leo/Elephant in Armstead as a free lance linemen but regress that we would need more of a speedy guy.

Is that Lynch perhaps? Between Lynch or Brooks almost.

We need that NT... Poe or Hankins, some are calling for Brandon Williams..... sh*t, maybe a healthy Iwill could make a return?

Yep we need a LEO. More undersized versatile pass rusher. Lynch would need to be the Lynch of two years ago. Ideally we get an upgrade here.

We need a NT.

We need a Will or Mike. Bowman can play one.

We need a large run stuffing 5 Tech DE like Red Bryant.

So that is two dline spots where I don't see Buckner or Armstead as good fits. NT (1 Tech) and DE (5 Tech)

Basically we have two 3 Techs and only need one. Ugh.
