For Ross and a first. Nice pick-up for Toronto IMO.

All I'll say is, whoever is running Orlando should be fired. Oladipo and pick just turned into Ross. WTF

Raptors paying about 100 mil to Lowry/Derozan/Ibaka is hilarious

I should've wrote it earlier, I freaking knew the Raptors would flinch after the very rough patch they are going through. Still decent pick up for them. That being said I didn't want any part of Ibaka to begin with.

Maybe Magic trade Vuc to us for scraps now?
Good assessment:

it is a nice move- they needed to do something though to stop the bleeding. Also, it seems like DD and Lowry's frustration was about to explode. I am not jealous though because although I like his game, (liked him more about 2 years ago but either way) he's not the piece we need up front in my opinion. We need D and we need rebounding but I feel like the way this teams is made up, that big also has to be able to shoot it well and continue to stretch the floor. Laugh at me if you want, but we need like a prime Rasheed Wallace! :D His defense, and ability to stretch the floor was really important, he was out of shape and lazy when he got to Boston, but when he was on, he was the perfect big. That's they type of player we need. I am not sure who embodies Rasheed ( other then Cousins minus the defense) in today's game.

Meh. Ibaka sucks now. Doesn't really push the Raps forward

This is a great point, if Nurkic is the nadir for valuation on bigs (having to attach a first for a RFA,) than Ibaka deal represents the zenith, unless of course Atlanta somehow reverses course and trades away Milsap.

This deal came down the fact that Toronto needs to try to right the ship since Lowry is already sniping in the press and the bad losses are continuing to mount, Massai has a good relationship with Ibaka, and Orlando needed to get a 2017 1st in this deal the fact that they got a young player in Ross was a bonus.

THANK NATION.

Good move? Lmao, Raps are ****. This just a move, the only move. It marginally improves then just because Casey will now have someone to cover for his incompetence on offense and defense. Orlando got way more screwed though, Hennigan is trash.

Also, Ibaka seems to be in a consistent decline. Treadmill city gents. One of those trades that both teams will regret in time.

And **** a Vuc. Keep the long term goal of multiple championships in mind.

Even if they did get passed Cleveland, no chance at beating the Dubs. I wouldn't count on a core of Lowry and DeFrozen winning any big playoff series.

Ibaka has dropped off of late. We could have done worse than him but don't want some guy messing with chemistry too much. Ibaka is not all that impressive to do that but we can do better? Or nothing at all. We have a ton of picks. I love our system and the energy our players bring to the table.

With Horford we have a mobile guy who is basically bigger and better than Ibaka. We need a guy who can really impose his will to go with him. Ibaka isn't really that. Mobile and can do a lot of different things but so could jeff green at one point. Ibaka is probably a bigger better version of that but is older now has injury issues etc..

I'm not saying this makes the Raptors true contenders but it certainly improves them. That was a position of weakness and they certainly solidified it. Ross was expendable with Powell's development and it will be a late 1st more than likely. Good deal for both sides.

I think Toronto is a bit desparate. Ibaka is a solid move but I'd rather be more picky than that as far as getting guys to get over the top.

Not a bad deal for the Raptors but I'd not want to commit long term money on Ibaka, no thanks. Short term he's a decent upgrade of what they had.

I hope the Craps enjoy this team because this is the best that they will ever be. Their salary situation for next year is looking very bad. Seems like they are officially all in here. Not where I would want my team to be.

In classic Toronto fashion they're now discussing picking up Cousins as a follow up move

How is this a good deal for Toronto ?????

A 1st rd pick and a good SF for a decline, inconsistent, FA in 5 months PF !!!

Desperate move by Toronto.
Orlando could have a top 10 pick and a pick around #20 in a deep draft.
