Any day Singler makes the postgame poll is one you put in a folder that you bind with lead and toss over the railing of an ocean liner into the depths of the sea.

Had to work on a group project. Glad I missed this game

Good job getting that trade value up singler. I remember thinking Victor, Domas, Steven, and Russ were untouchable just a little while ago.
F that noise. Steven and Russ are safe. The rest need to keep their phones on all next week in case they get traded.

On another note, Lydon has become my favorite player heading into the draft. At least I have college hoops to look at while this team tries to get its "stuff" together.

Yeah this is where I'm at. This was a spectacular showing of "how bad can we screw up". Amazing this team beat the Cavs 4 days ago.

1 game til the break.

With 7 minutes to go, we were down 3 at 47-50. Over the next 13.5 minutes, we went 2/32 and allowed a 10-41 run.

Billy and Presti just got spanked by Scotty and Ernie **** Grundfeld. But sure, we'll be active at the deadline... :banghead:

This was painful to watch. The shooting inadequacy of this team lately has been ridiculous. Even Morrow forgot how to shoot the 3, and that has been his one NBA level skill his whole career. In the last 10 games Dipo is shooting 22% from 3, Sabonis is shooting 15% (and 2 of his makes were in garbage time few games ago) and Roberson has reached an incredible 5%. No wonder Adams and Westbrook's pick and roll has not been working well lately, every opposing coach just packs the paint and lets Sabonis and Roberson completely open.

It's insane. Dipo, Domas and Roberson have combined for 14 makes on 85 attempts from 3 over that stretch. That's 16 % on roughly 1/3 of our 3pt attempts.

Beyond that, you have Morrow, Abrines and Grant going for 19/67. Russ is 25/71, Payne 12/24 and Lauvergne 6/15.

6 of our players have taken 152 3s over the 10 games and made 33 of them. 21.7 3P%.

I worry that these players will go somewhere else and play better. I know our guys are bad but I question the style of play that Presti wants.

I've just said it on DT: At some point, we'll also have to talk about Donovan. This roster is very flawed, but it's not this bad. How on earth are Sabonis, Roberson and Oladipo suddenly shooting below 20 % (!!!) from 3?!

I have to say I highly question his ability to get the best ouf of his guys and to put them into position to succeed

I think the title of the thread is misleading. We need to retool and figure out which players suit Westbrook's style. This team was constructed last year and we all know KD through a monkey wrench in there. You have to remember that the team was built as a supporting cast to both KD and Westbrook, not just Westbrook. But as other teams have done in the past, they have to reshape the roster and fit needs better more than anything. We need better shooters and players who are ready to catch a pass from Westbrook when he penetrates the defense.

The problems we face this season are the same we faced with Durant still here: Way too many players who can do only one or two things on the NBA level; way too few passing and shooting.
The only thing that changed is that the flaws became more apparent because more possessions went to the trash part of the roster and Russ can't make up for 10 guys sucking.

There's more passing than in the past. Serge was replaced as was Waiters. The shooting still stinks.

I could pass a ball on the perimeter, but that doesn't mean I'm good at passing. We don't have anybody besides Russ that can create shots via passing. Hell, Adams might be our 2nd best passer and he's average.

What I was alluding to more than anything is actually finishing or catching a Westbrook pass. Watching the first half against GSW on Saturday showed you how smart the GSW defense was in collapsing on Westbrook's penetrations. He turned it over many times and no one knew where to be.

And you guys know that anytime KD and Westbrook are together, those problems are problems you can deal with if you are winning. Last year is a perfect example. Many teams in this league are willing to gut a roster to put together two or three all stars. Just ask Miami(2010) and Boston (2007).

Sabonis, Adams, Dipo can all pass.

Neither sabonis nor Steven are notable as passers at this point in their career, though you can see the potential. Vic has really not been a playmaker at all.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.
