Question for CLevland Fans

Was having a conversation with a friend and wanted to see what Cleveland fans thought of this.

forget salary etc. Just wondering. If you had the chance to

Trade Kyrie for Boogie Cousins. And then trade a pick and some junk for Rubio.

Do you do it?

You get the playmaker in Rubio and the best front court in basketball with Boogie, Love, and Lebron.

We are both on the fence as it is a guard driven league but thought it was an interesting idea.

Wow. I'm a Celtic fan but thT is very interesting. If I was gm I think I'd go for it. I'd love for Boogie to turn himself around and also beat Golden State.

they would definitely do that. lebron had titles with chalmers, kobe had titles with fisher. pg may not be very important on the path of championship as lebron have that playming skills.
demarcus cousin will be much more impactful than kyrie irving. however rondo may spoil the chemistry. just stay away from him.

I'm not so sure. This would be a huge change in the way this team plays. I'm not positive it makes the Cavs better.

I'd say no. Rubio is a terrible fit with LeBron so that wouldn't work.

Boogie for Kyrie is more than fair and Boogie is at least a clearly better regular season player. Kyrie proved himself last season though and is the type to elevate his game when it matters.

Basically I'd rather stay with what I know works.

I personally would not do that. I know technically Cousins is a better player, but both have elements that they're elite at.

I guess I would word it this way:

With Cousins, we could have a similar record to the Spurs or Warriors. But with Cousins, I just don't see us beating the Warriors. Yes, Boogie would average 30 points and 15 rebounds in a series.

But on defense when they went to their small lineup, I can't imagine us stopping them from getting an open 3.

What makes it so tough too, is the loss of the Perimeter game byv losing Kyrie. You'd also have a crowded Frontcourt now.

Maybe follow it up with TT+Shumpert for another shooter with passing ability. Portland or Denver would fit in here as good partners for such a follow-up.
