Nope, he's heading to Boston in exchange for Marcus Smart. Nice doing business with you.

Yes please

If Harris sells the team this summer, there is an outside shot the new owners rehire Hinkie. That would be amazing, albeit extremely unlikely.

Our path to accomplishing this is through Embiid using social media. We need to get the RTRS podcast to start putting things in motion.

The one year anniversary of Hinkie's resignation is coming up. That would be a great day for an online retweet Armageddon and movement by the fanbase.

I think its clear whatever trade they thought they had fell through and possibly was just Colagelo getting used by Denver and Portland for leverage in the deal they made. At this point my guess is Okafor is in Boston to play for the Sixers.

Haha. Man of action. Lol. He is such a dope.

They forced Hinkie out for this "professional GM who knows the league and has endless connections."

We are lucky!

Sooooo lucky to have him and his totally not a complete snake in the grass father who definitely didn't take over the organization to force Hinkie out and give his son a job. #blessed

Loool made my day:) im even thinking to make a t shirt with a snake and bc head

sixers, it was always sixers

Extremely unlikely but a chance.

1) He is beloved by a large group of the sixers fan base.
2) He wasn't fired. He resigned over reduced role.
3) Embiid loves him and is developing clout.
4) If the Sixers become legit contenders building on his foundation, there's always a chance he could wind up back with the sixers.

If Steve Kyler is right, I'd take Hezonja back for Okafor in a heartbeat. Don't know why the Magic would want Okafor, but in some type of a 3-way deal. And I know Hezonja hasn't impressed and could be a bust, but I think he has skills and this team has been good at developing talent.

I'm thinking this goes until the deadline. Which puts the over/under on this thread at about 145 pages.

His point had nothing to do with hezonja being on the market to the Sixers. He was saying that hezonja sucks and getting (say) Denzel valentine would be better.

Okafor to CHI
Valentine to ORL
Hezonja and CHI 1st to PHI

If Saric signs off it.

I'm still not convinced that BC really wants to move Okafor. He rode Bargs and Gay until his demise in Toronto and I assume he will do the same here with Okafor.

I know, my implication was if Hezonja has such little trade value and the Magic would be willing to move him, he's a piece I'd be trying to get if I'm Colangelo in some type of a deal as a return. If they could some finagle Hezonja and a conditional 1st for Okafor in a 3-way deal, I think that's a score at this point for Okafor.

Why was he held out then? I think BC got used by another team and now has egg on his face. Can't wait to hear the spin on this.

It does seem like hezonja has no future there with Fournier and Ross both signed long term.

Dunno, maybe he wants to appease his coach who is desperate for wins. Fake hustle.....he can tell Brown that he tried.

Not sure he's creative enough to work something like that IMO.

Yeah this is starting to look like something Colangelo drummed up to distract the media from the Embiid injury and the Simmons nonsense. What a complete abject failure this guy has been.

Maybe the most interesting stat to me is he is second last out of 70 qualified centers in defensive RPM. What shocked me is who is last.... Karl Anthony Towns. How is that possible? How lazy of a defender he must be to score out that poorly with all his physical size and ability.

There is an interesting chart in the article that shows all the playoff big men who were crappy rebounders but still had a role on the team.

#1) Young players tend to suck at defense. Seeing a rookie defend like Embiid does (or Noel did) is pretty rare. Especially in today's switch heavy defensive schemes that have to face a ton of P&R.

#2) There's no chance Towns is the "worst" defender at the Center position. These +/- based stats like RPM have to be taken with a huge grain of salt. There are a ton of factors that affect them.

Watch almost every game, Towns is terrible on D.

Just watched first half of wolves versus cavs. Holy crap is he awful on D. Just stands at the left corner of the free throw line and does nothing. Lebron ran pas him at least 4 times for uncontested dunks. Tristan clowning him down low too. How is Thibs putting up with this?
